Two Pakistani security officials were injured when NATO helicopters shelled their posts.

According to Dunay News, the NATO helicopters crossed the international borders and started shelling at Pakistani security forces in Datta Khel areas of North Waziristan. As a result, two security officials, Afzal and Naqash, were injured. Both the injured have been admitted to Miranshah hospital.

The gunships returned to their side of border when Pakistani security forces retaliated to them.

The Pakistan Foreign Office had time and again protested against the violations of the Pakistan's geographical boundaries but incidents of trespassing could not be stopped.

i wonder what has happen to PAF radar. it has radar on Af-pak border which has range of about 450 km, even assuming that at the time of OBL raid it was jam or switched off, this time they should have been more careful, when they saw that helicopter they should have dispatched interceptors, to at least fire warning shorts towards helicopter.

This incident with earlier incidents (OBL raid and drone attack) shows that PAF is incompetent force and they cannot do anything to protect its sovereignty and integrity of Pakistan.

Could it be too close to the border, such that it all happened in few seconds and so no action could be taken in the short "in and out" timespan of the chopper?
Just wondering.

Guess all the radars are stationed in India's direction and that's the reason why PAF can't detect even noisy attack helicopters invading their territory.

But there's one thing I fail to understand.... why are NATO gunships striking at Pakistani security personnel? Is it because the latter are providing cover for terrorists to enter AfPak?

Comes as an indication that PAF/PA radars are fuss be on/off.

Forget nation for a while but, how much embarrassment can a active armed force digest?
