BANNU: Two people were killed and six others injured including a former member of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Adnan Wazir in a blast targeting Awami National Party (ANP) rally in Wali Noor area of Bannu district here on Sunday, Geo News reported.

According to reports, the blast took place in Wali Noor area of the district where ANP leader Mr Wazir, a candidate for provincial assembly seat had arranged an election rally.

Rescue sources and police rushed to the spot following the blast and shifted the injured to the District Headquarters Hospital. Police said initially eight people were injured in the blast of which two succumbed to their wounds in the hospital.
