TSMC is assuming semiconductor process technology leadership from INTEL.
According to TSMC co-CEO Mark Liu, "TSMC's 7nm currently has 30-40% yield for 128MB SRAM." (see DigiTimes citation below)
According to Nikkei, TSMC will be the first company in the world to mass produce 7nm semiconductor chips. TSMC will mass produce 7nm semiconductor chips in limited batches during early 2017 and move into full production by Q1 2018. (see Reuters citation below)
