Its not about pakistan or how things play out in Pak media, I think we had de-hyphenated from pakistan. My concern is that India has been pussyfooing strong and at times adverse remarks emanating from the white house for some time now. This is not the first faux pas from Trump over India(remember the remark about India building libraries in Afghanistan). The US president is the fountainhead of the US administration and hence we have to treat his remarks at face value and respond in kind. Even some of US' closest allies now recognize this pattern emerging from the white house and have begun give back piece of their mind. No reason for india to hold back.
Yes like Germany clearly refused to send troops in Syria , we need to stand up to the American bully

Barely a day hanging out with the charsi aatankwadi Dimran and Trump seems to be doing sasta nasha.

SAD!

India & US check records of conversation. Find no mention of Kashmir in Modi-Trump meeting transcripts. My report

Trump and Modi never talked Kashmir at G20, records show. Officially or otherwise
Both sides have checked their official records of discussion and found no mention of what Trump claimed.

NEW DELHI: India and the United States have no record of Kashmir being discussed when Prime Minister Narendra Modi met US President Donald Trump on the margins of the G-20 summit in Osaka last month, informed sources told ET.

In the flurry of activity that followed Trump’s dramatic claim on Prime Minister Modi seeking his mediation to resolve Kashmir, ET has reliably learnt that both sides have checked their official records of discussion and found no mention of what Trump claimed.

I would ask everyone here to sip sulemani chai and relax.
A beggar went and sucked pea sized tool of a egoistic fool and foolish dialogues tumbled out during the teeny weeny ejaculation.
That's all it is.
Sun came up. Porkistan back to where it is - end of the begging line. Orangeman forgets the beggar and that shithole country and moves on to other gaffes.
Allz well with the world.

Don't think Trump has been making this gaffes like Hafiz Saeed found after 10 years and Modi told me to mediate Kashmir issue out of nowhere,he has full backing of state department and Pentagon ,India should review it's defense relationship with US and no big ticket deal like MMRCA and naval helicopters & jets should be in favour of US

If PM Modi says anything , it will be used by US Media to Create an Anti India Narrative

PM is going in September to US

He has to be Tactful and Careful
It may be a gaffe on Trump's part, but he has embarrassed Modi and placed him on a sticky wicket. If Modi does not respond strongly, then we will come across as courtiers mollycoddling an unreasonable king. Let's tell him to his face that he was lying and with proof. Embarrass that racist.

There is no need to get angry here

We must handle this diplomatically
Quietly and Firmly

Trump will be RE ELECTED

Why antagonise him un necessarily

We heard remarks by President Donald Trump in a meeting with Pak PM that he is ready to mediate if requested by India & Pakistan on Kashmir Issue.

I would categorically assure the house that no such request has been made by PM Modi to US President:
EAM Shri @DrSJaishankar

Showing Trump his ‘aukaad’ is all fine. But souring ties with US or for that matter Trump....all in the context of IK and Pakis would be a big blunder!
This should be firmly handled among the diplomats behind closed doors. If the spat spills out in public Pakis will benefit the most.
Trump is a lying asshole, but in this context he was just a BS’ing egomaniac - that’s all!

The entire State department is with India, both the Republican and Democrat Congressmen/women support India - that’s where work gets done.
Trump’s circus should be ignored for best results....especially in the context of Pakis!!

This guy has concocted a fictitious conversation with our Prime Minister, attributing a fallacious statement to him and we shouldn't antagonize him?.... A public dressing down will serve him very well. India needs to stay way from this Trump administration for its own well being.

Strangely, or not-so-strangely, US seems not to be too concerned about souring ties with India or for that matter anyone else due to Trump's verbal diarrhoea.

In fact the message that seems to be coming out is suck up and get on with it. It remains to be seen how calibrated will be our response.

I'm certainly not calling for a break in ties, but it's time to reassess our engagement with the US. What have we received for this administration, end to trade concessions, new tariffs, threats of sanctions over the Iranian oil and now this. India used to be a country which could tell any great power where to lay off, I'd like to believe that we still are that country.

There's much more than meets the eye with Trump's statement. Balakot has rattled many power centers, including in the Gulf. No one wants to see India evolving from meek, dossier power to a bully arm-twisting his way through.

One thing is sure, we shouldn't depend on USA for any critical techs and products.

But we are still that country. Even today we never went fully into America’s orbit. If you watch closely South Asia policy wonks, their numero uno gripe is that Indo-US diplomatic relationship never seems to be matured enough. Would they say that if indo-US is on same page.

Trade relationships on the other hand seem to be growing annually..

Balakot strikes have shaken everyone. It has created enormous pressure on Pakistan that they been told by all their sponsor states to behave. The kind of face they have lost and how exposed they are today is unprecedented.

OTOH there is no pressure of India.

Trump wants out of Afghanistan hence will pamper Pakistani generals and their civilian prime minister to accomplish that.

It is good that India denied everything and it will be an embarrassment to US diplomacy.

Truthfully, Trump has lost the battle in Syria, North Korea, and almost lost it in Iran. He lost it all because he is an uncontrollable US politician who could be classified as a fool.
Funny how people quickly dismiss the God king Trump as a fool when he went up against the most corrupt wing of US politics in US history and won. Not only that by hook or crook he has managed to full-fill more of his agenda than any previous presidents.

How did he loose in Syria (ISIS territory is dead, that's what he cares for, didn't care for Bashaar). Iran's economy is down the tubes and now Israel has the freedom to enforce it's red lines. NK, hardly any missiles flying over Japan, Kim Jong chilling, that's all he cares for (if he get's them to De-Nuke, which can still happen, it's a bonus). Kindly show your pearls of wisdom?

Trump is in power till 2024. He has a say in everything the world has to do for the next 5 years get used to it.

why embarrass? Pissing into the wind that....Point has been made by the EAM , its where that should remain. We dont need Trump doubling down on his nonsense because of an overreaction from here.

You are Un Aware of US Administration Procedures and Practices

The US President has enormous powers
To Grant Favours or Overrule Bureaucratic hurdles

For Example The Indo US Nuclear Deal happened ONLY BECAUSE of George Bush

When Bureaucrats Refuse to Sign or Approve something , The President WEIGHS in to get things done

Even OBAMA helped us in LEMOA agreement

A Friendly US President is a BIG Asset

That is why Modi Hugged him

This Kashmir thing is Nonsense

Even in 1994 , When Narasimha Rao went to US , He clearly Said in Congress that
Kashmir is Not Negotiable

And Clinton was a Pro Pakistan President

And our Economy was very weak in 1994

So let us not make a fuss

Focus on what we can get

If Pakis play a Game on Afghanistan
Trump will Smash them
