Let's hope Pakistan and India can get along with each other too. China doesn't want to be the punch bag and scapegoat for your current unacceptable relationship.
Genuine and China doesn't go hand in hand just like Pakistan and logic.Looks like China is bending backwards to accommodate India at any cost. Is this move being made for genuine long term peaceful co-existence or there is a hidden agenda?
A very welcome step. May be a good break for some PLA colonel or some opportunity to teach Indians the sack tactics and some Maoism.Top Chinese officers to train in India
Fri Dec 09 2011, New Delhi:
Taking defence ties between the nations up a notch, a go ahead has been given by the government for the inclusion of senior Chinese armed forces officers for training courses in India and the formal mechanism is expected to be finalised during defence talks that will take place in New Delhi on Friday.
While exchanges at lower levels have been taking place, it has been decided to invite senior officers of Colonel and above rank to attend the Higher Defence Orientation Course (HDOC) that is conducted by the Army War College in Mhow. The six-week course is conducted for foreign officers as well as senior officers of the Indian Army.
The two sides are expected to work out the dates for a joint army exercise to take forward bilateral ties that got stuck after a row over China's objection to a Lt Gen from Jammu and Kashmir heading an Indian Army delegation to Beijing. The next round of exercises will be carried out next year in China.
While two rounds of exercises have taken place, the process got stalled last year. The two sides are expected to discuss various issues, including schedule for defence exchanges and visits next year, during the fourth Annual Defence Dialogue on Friday.
The dialogue will be chaired by India's Defence Secretary Shashikant Sharma and the Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Chinese PLA, Lt Gen Ma Xiaotian. The dialogue is taking place after a series of exchanges of military delegations on both sides in recent months.

Does it mean Pakistan will allowed to return to her original masters? Let us see if Pakistanis will accept the rejection by China. It is turning into soap opera.you can kick start by dumping pakistan,,,
India-China's relationship improvement should have nothing to do with Pakistan. Both China and India feel they need each other and recognize it would be a lose-lose situation if they treat each other as enemy. So they naturally choose to get closer.Looks like China is bending backwards to accommodate India at any cost. Is this move being made for genuine long term peaceful co-existence or there is a hidden agenda? I asked this question as it happened after India's move to assert itself in the region. As asked by other forum member, How will Pakistan react? Is this being done with full support of civilian rulers of Pakistan? It will be interesting to see how this unfolds. I hope to read reaction of most of you on this topic.
The relations between India and Pakistan has been made unacceptable by the Chinese. China can make this realtions accepatble by stopping nuc and missile supply to Pakistan meant to threaten India. Chinese should also know that she also has tens of neighbours and India can make realtion between some and the Chinese unacceptable.Let's hope Pakistan and India can get along with each other too. China doesn't want to be the punch bag and scapegoat for your current unacceptable relationship.
Don't blame China for your own problem with Pakistan. China might be catalyst, but not root cause. The relations between India and Pakistan has been made unacceptable by the Chinese. I don't think anyone blames China for bad relations between India and Pakistan.Don't blame China for your own problem with Pakistan. China might be catalyst, but not root cause.
India and Pakistan haven't been on same page since independence date. Even China withdraw all support to Pakistan, you guys are still in odds with each other unless your relationship is fundamentally changed.
For the same token, we should blame India for hosting Dalai Lama since 1959 which caused instability and chaos in Tibet ever since. Both countries should leave something alone and start from genuine good intention to improve relationshipI don't think anyone blames China for bad relations between India and Pakistan.
China is being blamed for supplying nukes and missiles to Pakistan. Weapons which can be used only against India. The blame is entirely justified. Not to mention, providing an umbrella for Pakistan in various international bodies.
In other words, we don't care being enemies with Pakistan. But we do care when someone arms that enemy and makes him dangerous - essentially China is using Pakistan like an attack dog. Pakistan was incapable of any significant threat to India without Chinese assistance. That is what irks us.I don't think anyone blames China for bad relations between India and Pakistan.

same with tibetan government in exile. but nothing can be done about it anymore.Pakistan was incapable of any significant threat to India without Chinese assistance. That is what irks us.
And did India ever arm Tibetan protestors and cause anarchy in China? Even though we could have, we didn't. Is "hosting" some spiritual leader the same as providing weapons of mass destruction and delivery systems to a country like Pakistan? For the same token, we should blame India for hosting Dalai Lama since 1959 which caused instability and chaos in Tibet ever since. LOL, statements like this make me wish that India should have actually armed Tibetan exiles with weapons such as missiles and nukes. We have to hear this nonsense even without doing it, might as well do it and get blamed justifiably instead!!same with tibetan government in exile. but nothing can be done about it anymore.
Indeed, But this is related to Military..That's good news for both India and China. Let's exchange students rather than exchange fire.
