With pakistan's maritime watch capacity severely reduced , its time for indian navy to be double strike.

on one hand maintain a vigilant eye on the west coast for any such attack on india and also venture out a little deep into the waters to have a look and maybe some mind games to play.

In reality the navy might not work
What do you think of the idea of having a peek now and then

I don't think their maritime defenses are "severely" reduced. Orions are sub-sniffing aircraft, and their numbers in PN went down from 8 to 5 (two destroyed, one "damaged"). At best, it reduces PN's freedom of operation and anti-sub surveillance, but doesn't quite bring down their coastal defenses.

Why reach the shores send a sub to sniff and taste some offshore waters , these ventures into enemy waters / air /land experience helps in times of conflict.\

We do that and carry the risk of stopping Pakistanis from killing themselves. So why should we do anything that would spoil their rhythm?

On a serious note, if India manages to destroy Karachi and Gwadar (in response to an attack from Pak based groups), we would get to control their economy more than anything. PN is not the strongest in the region, however destroying the ports should serve well to deny their submarines a harbour.

The moot question is,whether our political class is adventuresome enough to capitalize on the situation that our adversary finds himself in.Fishing in troubled waters is an art in itself, something we have traditionally showed a deep felt aversion for.India often comes across as a country perennially apologetic about its military capabilities....No Pakistan can rest easy with regards to their eastern front.

Once that IN spy satellite is up, things will be clearer than ever! But knowing the deep northern water is something only a physical presence can achieve.

Although I do not think, its the perfect timing for IN. Any leak of such op & Pak will get its excuse to shift attention to India. Also how Talibs will view this Indian adventure is most important question.
