This time it is going to be consensus rather than Veto.
Trust me, with P5 in your way, there won't be a consensus at all.

It is china that paid with Nanking Massacre in world war 2, India has no plans for such humiliation. Chinese do think UNSC permanent seat is a privilege and forget about responsibilities since they got lucky some 50 years ago.
Only fools would think that luck can bring a country the permanent seat! Think about this: billions of dollars of financial aids to those Africans, south Americans and Asians; billiions of dollars of military aids to those third world insurgency war; thousands lives in the Vietnam war.

Only money and blood put PRC into that room. If India wants it, pay the money or blood.

Again this depends on Geo politics and strategic interests.
Yes, then you can wait. After all we are not in rush.

And coming to the first point, China tried to scuttle India's plans in the last minute in one of the previous meetings.

China/USA just blocked the reform proposal, so technically they didn't violate any promise made to anyone!
Yeah.. right!! I guess i was reading newspapers and following current affairs for too long to forget how China tried to scuttle India's aspirations and like it was not all over the news!! But what the heck!! Go on with your usual twisting of the facts like usual. Don't mind me.

How? Just initiate a bill to name only India as the sole nation for the extra permanent seat! China didn't team up with anyone in 1971.
Well, since India is so powerful, I guess you can just simply apply the seat alone.
Well.. there is something called principle over power. Since you mentioned that technically you didn't violate any promise but blocked the reform, I can safely assume you wouldn't understand why India prioritized principle over power. Anyways India did the right thing by refusing to China's demand to not support Japan's candidature. That's some character which deserves leadership. Power will eventually have to follow.. if not today, then tomorrow. What use is the power if you have to bend to someone to get it!!

These hurdles can be overcome.

Only fools would think that luck can bring a country the permanent seat! Think about this: billions of dollars of financial aids to those Africans, south Americans and Asians; billiions of dollars of military aids to those third world insurgency war; thousands lives in the Vietnam war.

It is foolish to think that Blood and Money will bring UNSC Permanent seat.

Too obsessed with power by blood? If the purpose of P5 is to gang up and fight to spill blood, that is not something worth an achievement. And you tend to proudly gloat about it. India is not fighting to change the rulers.. it is fighting to change the rules of the game itself. If the cost of it is to wait some more time, we will gladly wait !!

He has himself validated my assertion. Now, everyone on DFI to the last poster knows for a fact that Roma is a man masquerading as a woman. Quite baffling.

Is such charade not in violation of forum rules ?
Man or woman.. What does it matter to you dude? Come back to the topic at hand if interested to continue with the current conversation. Or atleast go with "Live and let live"

Does it matters Roma is male or female and what this has to do with the topic ?

How does it matter if Tibetans endorse our candidature ? They are not even a sovereign nation-state.
&, above all, what is so interesting or novel if Tibetans say so ?
They would endorse anything India wants them to. Isn't it obvious ?
Whole discussion is lame.

Tibet is an autonomous region in China, and Tibet is endorsing India's candidature this is a welcome statement in Indian perspective.

There is nothing to be proud about or shame of! It is the cold international political reality which has been so for thousands years, if you don't like, you can stay away from it, no one is begging you to join.

Actually, you know what? India is not fighting to change the rules, don't make such kind of BS! You just simply want to join them as the sixth ruler!

Certainly you have to wait because on one wants you except yourself!

Let's be honest, the permanent seat means a lot to any country. That is why India, Japan, German and Brazil want it so badly. That is also why no one will give it to you for free!

Still, you want it? Pay for it!

There is nothing to be proud about it as you say. But your statements indicate so. Probably, it's not pride.. it might just be pure arrogance. Just by staying away from it doesn't mean it will not affect us. The policies adopted by the P5 is such that it impacts every other country. There is no chance of getting away from it. So the next best option is to get in the system and change it from inside. That's what India is trying to do.

If we just to be sixth ruler, then we would have ditched Japan already and got what we wanted. That's something you wouldn't understand anyways. Permanent seat ofcourse means something. That's precisely why India would want to get it. Get in the game and change the rules.

Pay for membership? Do you take credit cards? Are you aware that the funding of UN is done using the GNP of the country and the permanent members pay extra surcharge? Give the permanent membership and take the funding from India. India is not opposed to it.. baka!!

Oh, please, don't tell that you really believes those gov propaganda. The only reason that India wants to join it is because this is the best way to protect India national interest: nothing more, nothing less.

No, you get it wrong! This money is not paid to UN, it is a payment to any country that you want to win their support.
Credit card? why not, as long as you can transfer the money to these countries' accounts.
Oh, by the way, each of single amount would be measured as billions.
Let us know when you get money ready.
