'Think tank' Chinese, 'India could be divided into 20 or 30 sovereign states'

Indian academics are up in arms over what they see as a provocative incitement to death in his country by a Chinese essayist. "China can break the so-called" Indian Union "with a small movement," stated the essay posted last week on China International Strategy Net , a site focused on strategic issues.

The writer, under the pseudonym Zhanlue (strategy in Chinese), argued that the sense of national unity of India was weak and the best option for Beijing to remove a rival emerging security threat would be to support separatist forces, such as Assam, to cause a collapse of the Indian federal state. "There can be two suns in the sky," wrote Zhanlue.

"China and India can not really relate harmoniously." The article suggests that India should be divided into 20 or 30 sovereign states. Such was the outcry generated by the article that the Indian government issued a statement reassuring the country that relations with China were calm. "The article in question seems to be an expression of individual opinion and not according to the position officially declared from China to India transmitted to us on several occasions, including at the highest level in the week most recently by State Councilor Dai Bingguo, during his visit to India, "said the foreign ministry in New Delhi, in a statement, referring to the mutual promises to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The article's publication coincided with the negotiations between Beijing and New Delhi over the disputed border areas in the Himalayas. Earlier this year, China has funding for a project of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Arunachal Pradesh, an Indian state claimed by China as "South Tibet".

India has also banned some Chinese imports, as it tries to protect its economy from the global recession. Officials in Beijing and New Delhi have competing visions of the future, each seeing himself as the model of political and social development more sustainable. The presumption in New Delhi is that China, with a single party state, will inevitably break.

This chini idiot is not only an idiot but also clueless about Indian sense of unity.

All this scaremongering from the chinis confirm our viewpoint that they are shit scared of India and what it stands for. It seems even without doing anything our neighbours are scared of us....imagine what a beating they will take if we become proactive in splitting them to pieces :cool2:

I think the number of divisions suggested by the Chinese think tank is too conservative.

It should be more.

To include my own locality (mohalla) which should be independent and sovereign!
