In those days it is referred as Dharma, even Hindus also referred what they followed as Dharma. the classification is a recent one.

Yes the practices and beliefs differ and they are different from Brahmanism.

    it's all about your heritage.

Ancient Indo Aryans used to eat meat so they were Tall and well built but to defeat Buddhist influence, we stopped eating Meat and now we are nothing more than 5.5' clath hanger.

not Rulers but later Dharmic Faiths. ancient Vedic Religion (just like Sikhism) was a Martial Religion. that's why just bunch of Brahmins/Kshatriya and Veshyas conquered Dying civilization and whole North South Asia in less than 500 years.

    India in Ancient Times.

am a non-vegetarian (including beef) but i respect peoples sentiments if they want to eat only Vegetarian that is their wish.My issue here is ....Why some Non-Veg people are degrading Vegetarians?.

Non-Veg is not SUPER FOOD it is just to satisfy our Taste buds &some Proteins. We can get more proteins in milk and many vegetables too.In olden days we don't have many choices and HEAVY MANUEL WORK was needed. So in those days non-veg is mandatory for heavy work not now... now a days most people are seeking Software jobs, where even with 2 plate Veg meals they look like Pregnant women (FULL TUMMY) in few years. :p

btw Even today 60% Indians are non-vegitarians we don't need all Indians(Hindus) in Army few lakhs are enough.

Respond with regards to the existence of cyclical history not linear history it was non veg food that caused our brains to develop to how they are today and we have canine teeth that are specifically made for eating meat do not think that just because its the current year that it will be more useful for people not to eat meat from now on

Are you suggesting eating meat increases height? If not eating meat made us 5.5' now, would our future generations be of 4' ??

You need to study health and biology.

Look , you cannot put the blame on Ashoka for what happened after him .. it is like blaming the Tang for the Mongol invasions of China. Ancient times were just like this : invaders after invaders came from the steppes of Russia, Central Asia, or the deserts of Arabia, or even the ices of Norway ! You won' t find any place on Earth safe from invasions. Japan was saved by a storm from Mongols, They would have got there too.

@Tactical Frog you have a loser's mentality, where invasion has a result different than invaders's head on spear.

There were several other great rulers from the southern part of India.
Vikramaditya of the Chalukya Dynasty defeated the Arab invaders in the early 8th century and
protected southern India and Gujarat and he and his general were able to stop the Arab expansion
in the east. At that time the Arabs had established an empire which stretched from Spain in the west
to Persia and Pakistan in the east. It is also because of him that we did not become like Pakis
who worship Arab culture and Arab invaders.

If so non-vegetarians of Bangladesh would have been taller than vegetarians of Rajasthan. Lolz
    That's a funny logic.
The height is determined by climate of a region and not just your diet. FYI! :)

Yes climate is an important part .But I think diet is also plays a significant part .Best example our state Kerala .Our earlier gen didnt have height or weight .But current gen people are taller ,almost equal to Punjab ,Kashmir .I think Gulf boom worked out very well.
You should see new high school students in our state .Most of them are good in size and some of them are already taller than people like me .Lol
