I agree the numerically weaker Jatts(or even other Sikhs like Bedi-Khatri, Saini etc) in Kandi area in HP, Haryana and in punjab are as you say are believers in Hindu faith. But in rest of Punjab again as you said, its politically correct to vilify hindu/ism.

Most of the Canadian /US gurdwaras have pictures of Khali terrorists. The recent gathering of more than 100000 signatures in US in a petition to Obama, asked him to pressurize India in releasing Beant Killer from Jail, tells that Khali sympathizers are numerically significant. Or the Big Khali jatha during basant panchami parade in vancouver, or even in recent "beadabi" protests, vilyfying of Indian Govt and raising of Khali slogans tells there is thriving support to these elements within and outside. Khali undercurrent was there before 04 too, but with internet/social media it has made more inroads.

correct me, in Muktsar - Abohar area, isnt post/bhukki+sharabh slyly promoted by all hues because it actually brings them votes? bhukki culture readily absorbed drugs and then spread it to other parts of Punjab also.

Not freely available on this scale, you still need links and exorbitant money for drugs in other part of the country but not in punjab, where you will find dealers in every village.

As you can see AK 47 can also be available at will in Punjab via Drug trade, big security issue in Punjab and theat to military installation.

What we need is to prohibit farming 400 metres from the fence, complete Mined the Punjab Border and if possible rotate BSF periodically with Assam Rifles who is doing border duty at few Indo Bangladesh Border along with Bangladesh.

Although deployment of Army is not possible on international Border, it would've ended the this smuggling within a Year.

BSF needs some dressing down from Govt . With the recent events unfolding, Its work does not seem impressive either in Punjab or in West Bengal.
