KUALA LUMPUR: A sinister plot to attack foreign missions in Chennai and Bangalore has been foiled with a south Asian suspect being arrested for terror activities, Malaysian police said on Thursday. The man is believed to be involved in a plan to attack foreign consulates in Chennai and Bangalore, Deputy Inspector- General of Police Bakri Zinin said. A Special Branch Counter Terrorism Unit arrested the man at about 11.15 am (local time) on Wednesday following a raid in a housing area in Kepong near Kuala Lumpur. The unit had been monitoring the man since December last year after "we discovered that he was involved in planned terror attacks," Bakri was quoted by The Star as saying. He said that the information obtained from the surveillance on the man was channelled to Indian authorities on April 9. On April 29, three men were detained in India, all believed to be major players in the terrorist network. "We will continue to work with other foreign agencies to prevent attacks in the region as well as globally. The suspect has been detained under the Immigration Act for further action," Bakri said.

US Consulate Terror: India to Seek Information From
Malaysia

NEW DELHI: India will soon approach Malaysian authorities seeking details about the arrest of a Sri Lankan national in that country in connection with an alleged conspiracy to carry out terror strikes on the US and Israel consulates in southern part of this country. Malaysia, which had recently tipped a central security agency in India about possible attack on US and Israeli consulates in Chennai and Bangalore, arrested a Lankan national from Kepong near Kuala Lumpur last Wednesday. The Special Malaysian unit was monitoring the man, whose identity was not disclosed, since December last year after it was found he was allegedly involved in plans to carry out terror attacks in India, Deputy Inspector-General of Police Bakri Zinin had said after making his arrest public. The leads in the case surfaced while Malaysian authorities were probing money laundering and human trafficking cases. Sakir Hussain, a Sri Lankan national, was suspected to be talking to ISI officers and allegedly planning to carry out terror strikes on the two consulates. The arrests by the Malaysian authorities was a follow up of nabbing of Hussain and his subsequent interrogation which was shared with agencies in Kuala Lumpur and Colombo. Now the Tamil Nadu police, through diplomatic channels, would approach Malaysian authorities for sharing the interrogation report of the arrested Lankan national, official sources said today.

What does this story tell you about Pakistan.

Even Muslim majority countries like Malaysia are watching Pakistani embassy employees and who they meet like hawks.
Pakistan's reputation as a pariah state is not only in India, and Muslim countries like Malaysia realize that Muslims from South Asian countries are more dangerous than any non-Muslim from those countries.

Plan to Attack
Consulates:Extradition
Process of Lankan Begins

The extradition process of a Sri Lankan national, arrested in Malaysia for alleged conspiracy to carry out terror strikes on the US and Israeli consulates in South India, has begun with India approaching Interpol for issuing an Red Corner notice against the accused. Mohammad Hossaini, who was arrested by Malaysian police in Kepong near Kuala Lumpur a fortnight ago, is wanted in India for allegedly hatching a conspiracy for carrying out strikes on the US Consulate in Chennai and Israeli Consulate in Bangalore. Tamil Nadu Police had secured a non-bailable arrest warrant against Hossaini which was sent through diplomatic channels to France-based Interpol headquarters for issuance of Red Corner Notice, official sources said. In the meantime, a provisional request has been sent to Malaysia for sharing the interrogation report of Hossaini so that other leads in the probe could be followed. According to the sources, Hossaini told the Malaysian police that he had received instructions to assist two men in the attacks on the US and Israeli consulates in Chennai and Bangalore. Malaysia had tipped Intelligence Bureau about an alleged conspiracy being hatched from Sri Lanka about carrying an attack on US and Israeli consulates in Chennai and Bangalore in which a Lankan national Sakir Hussain was identified. The leads in the case surfaced when Malaysian authorities were probing money laundering and human trafficking cases. Hussain was alleged to be talking to ISI officers and allegedly planning to carry out terror strikes on the two consulates.
