I am not sure what they call WW3 will happen in our Lifetime. The global war on various fronts is happening as we speak using military, politics, trade etc. If there is label of WW3 & it happens, I believe the end result be annihilation to a larger extent of human existence.

I guess there is a certain expectation of what would constitute a world war 3. People expect WW3 to be devastating to the entire world. So, any war that does not match that standard wont be WW3 and any war that does will be.

The next big war will be surely in Asia. We have NK and SK crisis. Taiwan strait crisis, Indo China border issue, India Pak kashmir issue, Iraq US, South China sea issue.

Any one of these issues is bound to happen in next 20 years. For sure US will be indirectly involved.

Russia has good relations with both china & India so it can make indo-sino relationship quite good

China is too arrogant to listen to Russia least India, even at start it would want to co-operate eventually they'll ditch us just like they did in the Kashmir issue and Arunachal Pradesh, China is blinded by seeing itself as a superpower although they haven't reached there yet, they want to hasten it thats why they are trying to built infrastructure around the border and the neigbouring countries cause it sees India as a threat which it want to remove, so China-India war is bound to happen in Future.

After US leaves Afganistan, China would definitely be eying that region backed by Pakistan fearing Indian presence, tough situations ahead, India needs to think beforehand what its stakes are in Afghan , maybe China is trying to build rail links in GB for this very reason, massive resources in Afghanistan. Chinese mining companies might be interested there.

An alliance of India Russia is understandable. But India China no way. It may have been possible if Pakistan did not exist.

Besides Russia and China aint that close to build an alliance. Even Russia is not happy with China.
