Yes. Just like India is in talks to buy f-16s, f-35, f-18s, Gripen E, mig-35, eurofighters, f-22, ........ETC anymore left?:rofl:

Oh maybe j-20 & J-31 too could be offered by China in lieu of aksai chin, and other indian territories and peaceful friendly posture by pla....:biggrin2::biggrin2:

Except LCA & rafales nothing will come. Rest all are trolling and India enjoying all the attention.

In future F-35s depending on Indo American relationship and pakfa depending on Indo Russian relationship and international equation could come. AMCA after 2030 for sure......:)

Business Insider (USA): The Russian fighter pilot says he defeated the F-22 in a simulated air battle, but the Pentagon doubts.

It all started with the fact that on the unofficial page of the supposedly retired Russian Su-35 pilot in Instagram, a photo of the American fighter F -22 in the sky over Syria, which was to prove that a Russian aircraft can detect and surpass the American rival.

The photo was similar to the image from the radar system of infrared search and detection, which is installed on the bow of the Su-35 and is looking for thermal radiation from other combat vehicles. Theoretically, this system is able to detect stealth fighters at a short distance. The Russian pilot claimed that he spotted the F-22 during combat operations in Syria, which is completely invisible for traditional radars.

After a detailed description of how these meetings usually take place - there are special communication lines used to prevent incidents between Russia and the US, since they operate in close proximity in Syria - the author claimed that the F-22 was spotted using radar.

"Business insider" offers such a translation of the signature under the photo: "F-22 Hamil and was punished for arrogance after a short air battle, for which, of course, he was given (by foul language) to the brain."

Russia has long scoffed at American stealth fighters and has announced the possibility of defeating them in combat. But to detect the F-22, tracking its thermal radiation, does not mean to knock them down.

Even if the image is genuine, "it does not in any way prove that the Su-35S is really capable of detecting and intercepting the F-22," said Justin Bronk, an expert in aerial combat from the Royal Institute of Joint Services Royal United Services Institute). "Moreover, the F-22 would have known about the presence of the Su-35 in the area, when he only flew into the sky. Therefore, in fact, there is no reason to belittle the combat advantage of the F-22, "the expert said.

"Infrared search and detection systems can be used to record and track stealth aircraft under certain conditions. But this does not solve the problem of fighting against such goals. After all, such systems have a limited range, unlike radars, in addition, they are very vulnerable to changes in the environment, "added Bronk.
Simply put, the F-22 has long been following the movement of the Russian Su-35, when the latter would only notice an American aircraft. In addition, the Russian fighter could have noticed the F-22 only when he flew too close to him. According to Bronk, to look for American stealth planes using infrared search systems is like looking through plastic straws.

In turn, Pentagon spokesman Eric Paon told the "Business insider" that he can not verify the statements made by someone in Instagram. However, he pointed out that "Russia is conducting a campaign of disinformation in Syria to sow confusion and downplay the efforts of the US and its allies in the country." At the same time, Paon added that US pilots can tell exactly when their planes fall on the enemy's sight. So if the Su-35 did it, the American pilots would react.

Sukhoi Su-35 set to join Egyptian Air Force as Russia begins production as per deal
Sukhoi Su-35, which Russia claims has several 5th Generation features, has been in service with the country's Aerospace Force since February 2014. A 30mm internal cannon along with 12 hard points to carry various missiles and bombs makes the Su-35 a formidable multirole fighter.

Sukhoi Su-35, the 4++ Generation supersonic multirole Russian fighter will soon join the Egyptian Air Force. Russian news agency TASS quoted a military-diplomatic source as saying that the production of Sukhoi Su-35 jets for Egypt have started.

"The Gagarin Aircraft Plant in Komsomolsk-on-Amur has launched the production of Su-35, intended to be delivered to the Egyptian Air Force under the contract signed in 2018. The timeframe for first batch’s delivery to the Egyptian side has not been set yet, due to restrictions imposed by the novel coronavirus outbreak," TASS reported on May 16, 2020, quoting the source.

According to Russia’s Kommersant newspaper, Egypt signed a deal in March 2019 to buy an estimated 24 Su-35 fighters for about $2 billion. While the contract when signed stipulated that Egypt would receive the first Su-35 sometime in 2020, but the coronavirus pandemic has resulted in the deadline being extended as several Russian defence production plants have cut down on the numbers of workers and shifts.

The Su-35, which Russia claims has several 5th Generation features, has been in service with the country's Aerospace Force since February 2014. A 30mm internal cannon along with 12 hard points to carry various missiles and bombs makes the Su-35 a formidable multirole fighter. The jet can carry 8000 kilogrammes of munitions including air-to-air missiles, air-to-ground missiles, laser guided smart bombs, as well as unguided rockets.

However, unlike a true 5th Generation jet, the Su-35 fighter lacks stealth technology and an active phased array radar (APAR). The combat aircraft, which can detect targets 400 kilometres away while tracking 30 of them simultaneously and engage 8. Su-35 jets have been built to ensure air superiority as well as destroy targets in air, and on surface even under electronic countermeasures (ECM) and counter-fire environment, in any weather, day or night.

While the Russian Aerospace Force (air force) has almost 100 Su-35 jets in its arsenal, China's People's Liberation Army Air Force also operates 24 jets.

Foreign policy Magazine said that from then onwards, India will not buy any Russian plane as they can not give India an edge over China. All the technologies of 4th and For and half generation plane is developed by India. Some of them are even better than that of Russia. So not It is unlikely that India may purchase and plane from Russia. Last plane which India could have purchased is FAGFA but India Russia could not agree on it. Su 35 can not give any advantage over current Indian planes or what is in making. What India need is speed up MWF and AMCA. Once MWF comes in, It will meet lots of our needs.

Is there a difference between thrust vectoring system in su30mki & su35

The principle of the vector thrust mechanism is basically the same. The direction is changed by pressing the hydraulic rod against the action cylinder. The advantage is simple structure, but the disadvantage is large volume and heavy weight. The FADEC of su35 can control the tvc nozzle more accurately.

To be honest, apart from the fact that PESA is a bit poor, I don’t see any where the Rafale fighter is stronger than the su35.

you can understand the basic principle is simplicity and less flow distortion, its weight is around the same other systems, but the whole flow is turned and vectored resulting in much less flow distortion than with paddles or nozzle feathers,

Russia has tested all systems of thrust vectoring

but the ones on Su-35 are the more practical

The F-15 active have a very similar system

Pitch/Yaw Balanced Beam Nozzle
Nozzle Design

The P/YBBN design was derived from the fleet-proven F100 Balanced Beam Nozzle (BBN), which takes its name from a pressure-balanced flap arrangement that significantly reduces actuation and structural loads relative to an unbalanced system. At a macro level, only three functional additions to the BOM nozzle were required to allow vectoring capability: 1) a three actuator divergent section actuation system, 2) an annular synchronization (sync) ring to which the divergent actuators, flaps, and link hardware are attached, and 3) additional static structure used to support and enclose the sync ring.

Torsional freedom built into the P/YBBN divergent seal design permits the nozzle to maintain a tight gas path seal. This allows the P/YBBN to maintain thrust coefficient performance identical to a Bill-Of-Material nozzle while non-vectored and provides freedom from flow instabilities while minimizing thrust coefficient loss while vectored.

The majority of the hardware forward of the throat is common to the BOM nozzle while the hardware aft of the throat is derived from the BOM design. The convergent section maintains its mechanical independence from the divergent section. The part count of the production P/YBBN has actually been reduced relative to the BOM nozzle. Most of the sub-system elements of the P/YBBN are flight-line replaceable.

Nozzle Capabilities
The P/YBBN provides up to 20 degrees of mechanical vector angle in any circumferential direction. The mechanical angle is not restricted by engine power setting. The nozzle is, however, subject to a 4000 pound vector force nozzle design limitation which may limit the commanded vector angle.

The nozzle is capable of vectoring at a minimum rate of 60 degrees/second over the entire flight envelope to a maximum rate in excess of 120 degrees/second at certain flight conditions. Vector rate capability has been software limited from 20 degrees/second at high dynamic pressure flight conditions to 80 degrees/second throughout most of the subsonic envelope. Rate limiting simplifies aircraft system safety by protecting against excessive application of vector-produced moments possible with the P/YBBN.

Independent control of the nozzle exit area allows the nozzle exit-to-throat area ratio to be optimized for performance. The Bill-Of-Material divergent nozzle section uses a mechanical linkage system that tracks throat area and pressure loads, but is not capable of independent exit area modulation. Like the BOM nozzle, the P/YBBN divergent section mechanically responds to convergent area modulation, and no divergent actuation is required to set exit area. However, to maintain more optimal nozzle thrust relative to the BOM nozzle, the three divergent actuators are translated collectively in coordination with the convergent modulation to produce changes in the required scheduled area ratio (fig. 8). Vectoring is achieved by differential translation of the three actuators. The actuator motions required to set exit area and thrust vector angle may be superimposed over each other.
