Civil War is a different kettle of fish than what China did wherein the annexed another nation, another people and then went about systematically annihilating them, their culture, religion and their identity!

Now if the Tibetan or Uighurs rise against the Chinese and with an organised Army, that would be a Civil War.

The PRC emancipated this enslaved people, most of them enjoy their social progress except some remaining of the old ruling power, who fooled those innocent young people to set themselves on fire for their own dirty hidden political agenda.
Are you suggesting that the Tibetans are no longer enslaved?

History of Tibet Since the Chinese Invasion

Despite forty years of Chinese occupation and various policies designed to assimilate or signify Tibetans and to destroy their separate national, cultural and religious identity, the Tibetan people's determination to preserve their heritage and regain their freedom is as strong as ever. The situation has led to confrontation inside Tibet and to large scale Chinese propaganda efforts internationally.
Invasion & After :

An annihilation of Tibetian culture is taking place in Tibet by the chinese just so that they can fuel their economy from the resource rich Tibet, one of the reasons they are there in the first place.

Well clearly they are not able to bear it cause they are burning themselves. Imagine what suffering these people are going through if these people consider burning themselves as a better option.

I dont know if this is the right place to ask this but here it goes.
What do members think, did Vajpayee play a strategic masterpiece or was it a blunder for India to openly declare tibet as part of china, especially without reaching a settlement on AP?

It was not Vajpayee, it was Nehru who accepted that Tibet was an Autonomous Region of China.

The word to note is 'autnomous'.

Tibet is not autonomous since it is directed from Peking.

Sikkim revolted, led by the Sikkim Congress and joined India.

Not in India.

Did they? And yet, the Delhi Police Chief was requested to help in organising the security of the London Olympics!

Delhi IOC also requested China to donate left over of 08 Olympics equipment too, does that make any difference?
by the way, is your IOC membership renewed after it was revoked last year?

Revolted or was revolted?
