Spying Cases in Armed Forces
A total of 5 cases pertaining to alleged spying activities have been registered during last three years, which were connected with Intelligence agencies of Pakistan. A total of 8 service personnel, 1 civil defence employee and 3 ex-servicemen were arrested. One service personnel has been convicted and sentenced.
Appropriate measures have concurrently been put in place to prevent recurrence of such incidents.
This information was given by Minister of Defence Shri AK Antony in a written reply to Shri Jai PrakashAgarwal in Lok Sabha today.
