KARACHI - The Republic of Korea has offered 180 million dollars to Pakistan for being member of Friends of Democratic Pakistan. "It is an offer in the form of extremely soft loan," said Ambassador of Korea, Choon Joo Choi while addressing a press conference.
He said his country enjoys good and mutually beneficial relationship with Pakistan. "Korea looks forward to play an even greater role in the development of Pakistan in the coming years and welcomes a new phase of friendship that encompasses even greater trade, investment, cultural and educational links," he maintained. Referring to increase in commitment of Korean companies for their investments and development works in Pakistan, he said presently 20 Korean firms are engaged in various projects and that the Korean firm Sangyong has just completed repairing KPT berths to enhance the capacity of this vibrant port. WTF :(

All donations to that nation should be tied to some reforms, action, or something tangible. The world should stop giving them anything till Pakistan shows that it really wants to change for the better.

It is a loan not really an AID or donation. They have to payback.

Good one ! :pound:

And maybe someday, it may also happen that these two basket cases may form the new axis of evil alliance, if NK gets into trouble with SK, they may lob missiles developed from this same money that the Pakis got from SK and gave them to NK to build some Shaheens etc. What a tragedy that would be !

By the way, this is a good business by the Pakis.

See terrorize all those who are working in Afghanistan by telling their Talib cronies to carry out one or two attacks, and then extort money from those country saying we have clout with the Talibs and will rein them in and prevent any future attacks.

Its interesting to see SK being the new sucker for Paki charm :)

This is criminal waste. $ 180 million worth of destruction and pain coming to Southwest Asia. More bombs, more jihadis and more problems. South Koreans just gave terrorism a new impetus.
