Gandhi, who stood for peace, would support the warmongering NATO? Interesting observation.

Bogus writing. India needs no NATO alliance. No begging. No NATO ideals required.

We are good enough on our own with good enough ideals.

Why would Mahatma Gandhi support NATO alliance? You are a great [censored] liar and no Gandhi.

Notice how his post was liked by a member belonging to a particular religion....

Two future NATO members. World peace is guaranteed.
Why would China or India join North Atlantic Treaty Organisation? What do these nations have anything to do with Atlanctic ocean region, unless the Atlantic ocean region nations themselves are asking them to come manage their affairs for them?

nato is basically an association of weaker countries who could not take one-o-one with the USSR. so they formed an alliance based on the famed saying an enemy of enemy is a friend.

since, India is capable of handling its own issues it doesn't require a NATO or similar organizational backing.

Friend, as much as you like us to join NATO, it is a US-led coalition of western countries with similar political economic and military views...... Neither us nor China have any interest in joining a military alliance.

We didn't join Warsaw Pact even when USSR was our Big Brother in those days; There's a reason for that.

Our foreign policy is bilateral format only and our military is only for self-defence of nation and national interests.

NATO is a defence organization, it is Indians choise to do as it is in your interest. I just think that being a member is a good way to test your weapon systems in safe situations. For example Libya and Afganistan have been great testing fields for new guided weapons etc...

Our militarizes are already united under UN, India contributes a lot there. The better thing to do would be you making peace with Russia and we with China and live happily ever after:rolleyes:

Only one thing is accomplished by NATO and that is thorough undermining of UN. Otherwise NATO is just a vehicle to legitimize American military force overseas.

No NATO for india.
