Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav calls Pakistan 'younger brother', China a 'hostile' neighbour : North, News - India Today

Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav has said that Pakistan is India's 'younger brother', while China is a 'completely hostile' neighbour.

The former defence minister was addressing a gathering of students and teachers at the convocation of a private university in Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad district on Wednesday.

"What is the state of border these days? China is completely hostile to us. It has been diverting flow of rivers and making advance movements along the border. However, Pakistan is our younger brother. It would never resort to such tactics. The two nations will be friends if our governments and people come forward together," Yadav said.

The SP chief was accompanied by UP Chief Minister and son Akhilesh Yadav and senior Minister Azam Khan.
