Russian navy gets new carrier based fighter jets
PanARMENIAN.Net - The Russian navy has taken delivery of its first four series-produced MiG-29K/KUB carrier based fighter jets, the Defense Ministry said Monday, Nov 25, according to RIA Novosti.
"The MiG aircraft-manufacturing corporation has handed over two MiG-29K single-seat and two MiG-29KUB twin-seat carrier-based fighter aircraft," a spokesman said.
The Russian Defense Ministry signed a contract with MiG in February 2012 for delivery of 20 MiG-29K and four MiG-29KUB fighters by 2015.
The aircraft will be deployed on Russia's sole serving carrier, the Admiral Kuznetsov, based in Murmansk with the Northern Fleet.
The Admiral Kuznetsov currently operates Sukhoi Su-33 naval fighter aircraft.
The MiG-29K is a naval variant of the MiG-29 Fulcrum fighter jet, and has folding wings, an arrester tail-hook, strengthened airframe and multirole capability thanks to its Zhuk-ME slotted array radar, MiG says.
Unlike the Su-33, which is capable of air defense missions only, the MiG-29K can be armed with a wide variety of air-to-surface as well as air-to-air weaponry and laser-designation systems.
The aircraft is also capable of "buddy" refueling other MiG-29Ks using the PAZ-1MK refueling pod.
So far, the aircraft has only entered service with India, for use on the refitted Russian-built carrier INS Vikramaditya, which was handed over to the Indian Navy on Nov 15.

We are also funding 50% of R&D expenses for their first Fifth generation fighter aircraft.

We helped them revive the shipyard which made Vikky, we have helped them revive shipyards which make submarines and also train their manpower at our expense. We are paying for construction of Borie class subs by leasing Akula class from them. We are funding development of Almata tank by buying Junk T-90MS while keeping Arjun Tank buys on hold.
Imagine we have yet to complete the construction of T-90M tanks under TOT in India and yet we have gone ahead and signed for 370 more of them for MSC-Mountain strike corps. We cud have easily ordered 370 more Arjuns and diverted the new build T-90s to MSC or diverted existing T-90s to MSC and replaced them with Arjuns on western front in 1,2 & 21 strike corps.

Our funds are fueling their defense industry is of lest concern to us, as long as we are getting our value for money. But sadly that is not the case anymore.

Well, as MiG corp. was scheduled to hand over 5-6 MiG 29k/KUB to us by this year end, so with this news we can safely speculate that they will also be delivering them to us shortly.

This is an epic bullshit.
PAK FA program is funded and developed without ANY indian impact or contribution.
IAF will pay for modifications which allow to match its requirements, nothing more.
No structural changes, no aerodynamical layout changes, no engine changes, no changes in radars or FCS/FBW systems will be made.
Just Western/Indian/Israeli weapons, EW/ECM and cocpit avionics integration - all just like in Su-30K to MKI transition process.

This is a bullshit too.
Sevmash facility, which have done the Vicky, is a specialized (was even dedicated) strategic nuclear submarines manufacturer. This means that IN had no contribution to its survival, because the revival process was financed from dedicated Russian Federal special programme on Nuclear Strategic fleet modernization and upgrade.
The only thing IN has contributed to, is a new Sevmash competence on building aircraft cariers, which it had not to at the moment (all the cariers in SU had been built in Nikolaev in Ukraine).
The shit about non-nuclear submarines is the same. Zvezdochka repair plant and Baltic SBF were financed by the Special programme for RN modernization.

This is even more pathetic and ignorent meaning that the others in those posts above.
There are NO Indian impact since MiG-29K were made to Russian defence industry.

And the las thought:
If you have no competence and technologies, you have to buy them elsewhere, as India does. And all the selling contries put some part of the profits back to defence industry.
However, money from Indian contracts are the few drops in funding ocean, which is pumping now to Russian defence industry by the government. Russian oil and gas billions fund Russian defence industry, not the Indian orders.
However, Indian orders have really helped Sukhoi, MiG and several others to survive the harsh 90-s, when all the country was uncertain to live on. But these orders were mutual helpfull.

What is pathetic and ignorant?
What have I written and what you have replied has only a relation which a martian can decipher.
Do you have comprehension problem?

I hardly follow your posts.
So, keep your sweeping statements to yourself until you are in a position to write anything more than 'bullshit'.

Also, quote properly, for others to know that you are quoting them.

So, the Russian MiG-29K/KUB and MiG-35 will have the new PAK FA weapons as well (as we can see on the pictures below, MiG-29M carries Kh-36, Kh-38M and a compact targeting pod):

We are sure that these (and plenty of others) new weapons will be used by Su-30SM/M2, Su-34 and Su-35 aircrafts, and even medium and strategic bombers like Tu-22M3M/M4 and Tu-160M/M2.
Also we can be pretty sure, that IAF/IN will receive those "special" export versions as well.
