We have this which is 400 kms, medium range radar. Now imagine whats range of LRTR, its secret, but its presume to be around 1500 to 2000 kms.

We dont have UHF or VHF radar right now, but its work in progress.

I sure want to see UHF and VHF radar tracking all things near us.
It's not that secret.
Voronezh-DM has 6000km detection range (according to official media statements).

Having a complete 360 degs coverage of them Russians can detect and track ANY missile launch from ANY Earth surface point all over the world.

LRTR started with 400 kms range now its 1500-2000 kms, we are good with radar now.
Voronezh-DM is doomsday warning guard, so that's why it is so powerful, and of course it has its cost.

Serbia holds the record for being the first and only country that shot down the American stealth airplane F-117.

On 27 March 1999, the fourth night after the NATO bombing of Yugoslaviastarted, an F-117 Nighthawk flown by Dale Zelko, a veteran from the Gulf War; was returning to the Aviano Air Base, in Italy, after bombing a city near Belgrade.

However, when NATO attacked Serbia they considered the Yugoslav air defense as “obsolete”, but as it later turned out that they couldn’t be as wrong.

Belgrade’s air defenses operators had found they could detect stealth planes using some slightly modified Soviet radars. In particular, the modifications involved using long wavelengths that enabled such radar systems to detect the stealth planes at relatively short range when the low radar cross section of the aircraft was affected when the bomb bay doors were open to drop 2,000 lb bombs.

Moreover, Serbs monitored U.S. and allied radio comms on UHF and VHF frequencies (mostly unencrypted – as Lybia did the same thing 12 years later.

Serbia has kept the debris of the shot down F117 and F16 in a museum : with serial number 82-0806 at the Belgrade Aviation Museum in late 2018.

So peepul here be bickerin over stealth and anti-stealth and this and that. A little ingenious tweaking can bring down a stealth plane. No one is invincible.

The pilot saw 2 missiles fired from the "outdated" S-125 air defense battery. One missile missed him and the other hit. The pilot ejected, landed his parachute in a gutter and hid himself there. He radioed the rescue team who came and evacuated him. Even that radio SOS was intercepted by Russian ELINT stations who were listening in on UHF/VHF frequencies.

Next day they published this poster :
