The Russian air force is completing a modification program for its MiG-31 interceptor aircraft to the MiG-31BM standard, the force's commander Col.Gen. Alexander Zelin said on Friday.

Four Mig-31 are able to cover 800 kilometers frontline. Information exchange process between the planes is constant. All the tasks by the targets locating and group coordination are being automatically solved by the onboard systems. Besides, Mig-31 can coordinate attack of several fighters of other class, with less advanced radars systems.

I Wonder what this plane will do with some western avionics. Maybe we should try one more Sukhoi 30 MKI kind of experiments with this one as well.
