Punjab Assembly: Resolution submitted against illegal foreign presence in Pakistan

Published: February 24, 2014

LAHORE: A major cause of terrorism and lawlessness in the country was the 3.6 million foreigners living in Pakistan illegally, stated a resolution submitted in the Punjab Assembly on Monday, Express News reported.

The resolution – which was submitted by Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid's (PML-Q) Amir Sultan Cheema – stated that 1.8 million Afghanis, 1.75 million Indians and 0.2 million Bangladeshis were living in the country without valid visas.

The 4,000 Americans living in Pakistan without the appropriate documentation, too, are said to be contributing to terrorism in the country, the resolution stated.

On the basis of this resolution, the Punjab Assembly is to demand that the government take quick measures to evict these people.

Throw them to this side of border, we have huge backlog of OFB bullets whose stocks are to be emptied as they are growing old and nearing end of self-life.

I don't think the number of Indians living in Pakistan is correct.
There were roughly 18.000 illegal Indians in 1981 si it can't be 1.75 million now.

still the religions and ethnicity of illegal residents.
they being hindu is unlikely because there are now instances that hindus who are pakistani by nationality are coming to india for refuge, refugee hindus residing in pakistan wilfully is doubtful, though the possibility is not ruled out.
they could be sikhs? or christians?
please shed some light on what there future could be? how they will be treated and if possible their religion and ethnicity

Maximum number of Hindus in Pakistan are in Sindh about 95%

The upper castes are involved in trading and manufacturing, they dominate packing industry.
The lower castes are usually labourers most often bonded if in rural, or menial in urban areas.
