Prices are rising as poor affording to purchase vegetables: Sibal In an insensitive statement which seems like pouring salt on the wounds of the poor, Union Law Minister Kapil Sibal has said that price of vegetables has risen because the poor are able to purchase vegetables. According to reports, Siabal said on Thursday that those people of lowest strata of our society who used to eat one vegetable with chapatis are now now affording to eat two dishes of vegetables which is a reason for rising prices in the country. It is important to note that earlier, several senior Congress leaders like Rashid Masood and Raj Babbar had made similar in insensitive remarks denying price rise as an issue. Masood had said that one can get stomach full meal for just Rs 5 in Delhi whereas Babbar had said that one can get a thali of food for just Rs 12 in Mumbai. They do not know their station, it appears. Hasn't Rahul Gandhi made it clear that the Congress Party is allowing them instead of half a chapati, they will now get a FULL chapati! Isn't that enough? Why ruin Pawar and Chidambaram and the UPA's fortune by eating two vegetables and letting the price soar? Sibal sure is an idiot! Now, if the poor want to 'go to town' over the luxury of eating two vegetables, then they should follow Babbar and Masood's advice. Go to Bombay if you have more money and splurge with a stomach full at Rs 12, and if you are not that lucky to have that huge type of cash of RS 12, go to Delhi and knock it off, with Rs 5!

So according to Kapi(l) poor should not eat vegetables. If they eat vegetables the prices will raise & middle class( i am only mentioning middle class because they are hurt most due to food inflation) people cannot afford. What an anology Kapi(l)? you want the same poor farmers to grow vegetables but they should not eat? This is what happens when you keep bowing to the rich family our country!!
If poor people could not afford the same vegetable at lower prices, how can they afford them at an inflated price? This is absolutely illogical. What has changed for the poor people that they can afford to eat more vegetables?
