What about the Processor?? :p
If you're gaming or running 3D applications, processor speed is irrelevant beyond a point. A Pentium 4 can already run Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer blazingly fast.

I'm more into gaming and 3D benchmarks, so a strong GPU backed by adequately fast CPU. I've got Core i5 750 @ 3.6 GHz. I'm confident I can beat it with the GTX 480.

What benchmarks do you want to use?

But how did you managed to get 3.6 GHz in Core i5 750 mate?, you over-clocked it or was it the stock clock speed? Anyhow, 3.6GHz is good, and with a powerful graphics card, in your case GTX480, is more than enough for pretty much every game out there.

I mainly use my rig for 3D applications than for gaming, and the funny part is the graphics card I have right now is basically for gaming. I wanted to replace GeForce with Quadro series in future. But am totally broke as of now :(

Hey Akhand I got a Alienware M17x Laptop (fastest laptop in the world currently).

I will post the specs when I'm not lazy but I got a 1200P screen and 2 dedicated graphics cards in it.

I also love the Alienware desktop you bought. Congrats on the purchase.:)

Soham, if you're currently in US, the Alienwares are on sale now for 25% from dell outlet (they sell refurbished units but it looks brand new, YMMV ofcourse)

Here's more information:
Dell Sale

Stealth, nice! I didn't know laptops could do crossfire/SLI. Does it get a little hot? I'm pretty sure you use it as a portable desktop right? Nice system though! :)

Yeah, I just checked the dell India outlet, there are no systems! People in India don't return orders it seems :)

You can always aseemble a nice desktop with parts though and I'm pretty sure you can get a decent rig for cheap.

I can help you with it.

Sure, If I were in India, I'd buy parts and assemble them myself. I was planning on assembling one here too, until I found out they were discounting the alienware desktops and laptops by 25%

Hey Akhand, I have 2 Nvidia cards running in SLI and it does run warm but it's not bad at all. I am using it as a desktop/laptop right now but I will be making a desktop computer real soon. Dell has done a real good job with Alienware and the quality is awesome, you will love your desktop.
