I eat too much beef to ever be Hindu. I am not part of any religion that questions my diet. What about you ? Still a Hindu ?

Filet Mignon
Filet mignon (French for "cute fillet" or "dainty fillet") is a steak cut of beef taken from the smaller end of the tenderloin, or psoas major of the beef carcass, usually a steer or heifer. In French this cut is called filet de bœuf, which translates as beef filet. When found on a menu in France, filet mignon generally refers to pork rather than beef.
It's wrapped in pork bacon...

They are predicting an African Pope.Well who is gonna be the next Pope`?????
That would truly be a change, but I doubt that it will happen. The ultra conservative elements are still to strong. It will be another european for sure. They are predicting an African Pope.
Africa is still a place where 'harvesting of soul' is feasible.
With an African Pope, the African ego would be massaged with remunerative consequences.
Though, Indian Cardinals (numbers 07) also have a good chance!
India is also a ripe plum!
Why must the Church be admired grudgingly? This is the beauty of the church one must admire even grudgingly.Anybody can become a cardinal and pope irrespective of creed, race and origins. This is not the case with our holy shrines which are safeguraded by rats masquerading as the bious. This is one reform one has to go for
That would last about 30s on my plate.

Mate, put him on ignore. Its easy to do that, he wont be reprimanded because he is in the good books. In Tirupathi, the lower caste people are made purohits by performing Thread ceremony and being taught VEDAS. This is not a bluff, it is the truth. Any member can check it out. There is no need of indirect attack. Please stop this. I kindly request the member to stop this hatred comments.
Hmm...until the Reformation Christianity was just another Middle Eastern sect that punished anyone that anyone disagreed with the Church. Galileo and his punishment by the Church anyone...? Europe blossomed only after the stranglehold of the Church was broken over society. The Church punished and made second class citizens of Jews and Hitler justified his persecution of Jews by saying they betrayed Christ. Devout Church going America had slavery until 19th century and segregation and second class status for Blacks until the 1960's.This is the beauty of the church one must admire even grudgingly.Anybody can become a cardinal and pope irrespective of creed, race and origins. This is not the case with our holy shrines which are safeguraded by rats masquerading as the bious. This is one reform one has to go for
That doesn't negate the point Iamanidiot made, ignoring his choice of words. The Church was/is anti science, but it was/is democratic.Hmm...until the Reformation Christianity was just another Middle Eastern sect that punished anyone that anyone disagreed with the Church. Galileo and his punishment by the Church anyone...?
What it was is immaterial. What it is now at the present and what it will be are more salient to the discussion. They are reformingg and reformed while in Hinduism everything is going staticHmm...until the Reformation Christianity was just another Middle Eastern sect that punished anyone that anyone disagreed with the Church. In religions which are structured, the priests have a better lifestyle and comfort.Brahmin priest from a sudra, dalit or scheduled caste
The ancient examples of Sudra and Chandala like Satyakama and Valmiki becoming Brahmins and great sages are well known (1). Such transformations in people's vocations appear to be numerous where people of non-Brahmin origins (including Sudras) got education in the Shastras (scriptures) and undertook the profession of Brahmins. Moreover, with the exception of a few like Satyakama and Valmiki et al., they mainly are known now only as Brahmins without much information available about their non-Brahmin beginnings.
This change in profession, from non-Brahmin to Brahmin, still continues to take place unabatedly without much public knowledge or debate (2). On rare occasions, the news filters into the media (3) and from it others learn about a person of non-Brahmin caste, interested in pursuing the Brahmin vocation, changing his profession after an adequate preparation and training in Shastras etc. Consider for example the recent case of Manjhi, originally a Dalit, becoming a priest in a famous Hindu temple in Bihar (APPENDIX).
APPENDIX
Dalit priest for Bihar temple (3)
PATNA : A Dalit has been appointed priest of the famous Ram Janaki temple at Paliganj, located at about 60 km from Patna, breaking a three-century-old Brahmin monopoly.
Janardan Manjhi, the newly-appointed priest of the temple is a Musahar, a scheduled caste. In his mid-60s, Manjhi had left his family more than a decade ago to serve in a Dalit temple in Paliganj.
It took temple administrator Kishore Kunal six months to select Manjhi, who is not well-versed in Sanskrit. During this period, temple authorities checked his credentials and his devotion to god. Manjhi will begin his work on Saturday morning, coinciding with Kabir Jayanti on June 30, 2007.
