Just like I said to the poor and hopeless fools here, Philipines now only have two options left:

1) Lose the island to China
2) Lose their entire junky military and their entire north sea to China:rofl:

According to ancient Chinese wisdom, this is called: kill the chicken to warn the monkeys:rofl:

Thanks to their rather dumb leader, Phippines should be glad they can get the honor as being the first country which has finished a sea disputes with China once and for all, so its a win-win situation, so cheers up:rofl:

Tell your government to try option 2. Just be prepared to salvage your PLAN ships from the bottom of the sea.
philippine is not exactly a navy power. and US won't blindly involve in a direct conflict with china. There are many issues US need china on Iran, Nk, trade, heck almost all US fortune 500 has tie with chinese. and guess who influence US politicians? the CEO of those corp, money talks. unless china become really aggressive or invade philippine mainland, which won't happen, i doubt US will directly involve in the dispute.

Clinton said the U.S. supports countries "being threatened" by China's claims.
Clinton said that China's claims in those waters exceed what is permitted by the convention. She was speaking at a hearing Wednesday of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, where she and top military leaders offered an impassioned plea for the U.S. to join the pact.

Asean talks on South China Sea begin | The Jakarta Post

ASEAN steps in...

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) officials began yesterday a five-day meeting on a code of conduct for the South China Sea, officials said.

"We will present a draft to senior ASEAN officials for consideration before taking it to discuss with China."

The code aims to expand cooperation while building and maintaining peace and stability in the South China Sea and not referring to dispute resolution.

"The dispute in the South China Sea has to be resolved under international law and the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea," Nong Sakol said.

It shows that contrary to what was being propagated by some Chinese members, ASEAN is not amused with China's antics in the SCS.

There is nothing to be unhappy about Indian Naval vessels travelling through international waters on a goodwill trip to all countries including China.

It is good for training and seamanship and building friendly relations with all!

The trip to shanghai is probably the sugar coating. Ofcouse India would also want to be portrayed as a friendly while it lingers on the SCS to team up with Vietnam on Seismic exploration on the parcels. Heating up more tensions against china.

While trade is a big deal in equation for China, it is not seen in such a way in India.

Indian trade with China has flourished because it is a place where things are cheaper than the rest of the world.

All resources that China gets from Africa and the Middle East, and more importantly oil, is carried to China through the Indian Ocean.

India is not going to the various countries in the Pacific to make a scene. It is the usual goodwill mission that Naval ships undertake as did the Chinese naval vessel when it docked in Kochi.

Japan steps in...

3 Japanese vessels to visit Philippines » Nation » News | Philippine News | philstar.com

MANILA, Philippines - Japan is sending three training ships to the Philippines for a four-day port call next week.

This came after the Japanese government declared that it is supplying the Philippines with 10 brand-new patrol vessels to bolster its maritime and territorial capabilities before the year ends
Japanese newspaper, the Yomiuri Shimbun, said in an editorial that Japan could not just stand and watch China's ongoing military build-up in South China Sea while expressing fears of a direct confrontation between Beijing and the Philippines in the wake of a tense territorial standoff in Panatag Shoal (Scarborough Shoal).

"Japan cannot afford to ignore the Scarborough Shoal dispute, as the nation faces similar friction with China, which claims sovereignty over the Senkaku Islands," the Yomiuri Shimbun, said.

It added: "Peace and stability in the South China Sea is not only crucial for nations in Southeast Asia. It also is in Japan's national interest to ensure that its sealanes remain safe."
