Ranchi: The National Investigation Agency made fresh arrests in the Patna blasts case on Wednesday. Four suspects including a man Haidar have been arrested from Ranchi. Haidar is believed to be head of the Ranchi module of the Indian Mujahideen, which carried out the Patna blasts. Those arrested also include Mujibullah, Numan and Taufiq. They have all been nabbed from the Sithio village on the outskirts of Ranchi. These arrests were made with help from Tehsin Akhtar alias Monu, the number 2 in the Indian Mujahideen, who is already in police custody. Akhtar had accompanied the NIA team to Ranchi. The NIA team was also reportedly attacked when it reached this village. Locals claimed the team was framing innocent people in the case. Imtiyaz, the first arrest in Patna blasts case, is from the same village. NIA chief Sharat Kumar said that Haidar is also suspected to have a hand in the Bodh Gaya blasts. Eight blasts had rocked Patna in October 2013 just ahead of the now Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Hunkar rally, wherein seven people had lost their lives.
