Well, for 60 years it was Pakistan who milked US. Maybe we would now see a gradual shift of US foreign policy towards Pakistan. And I would not say India would milk US, it's pure business for both US and India.

Pakistan gets support from both the USA and China.

No small feat, getting both the #1 and #2 largest economies in the world, to be your strategic allies.

diplomacy is not just about getting support on economic front , diplomacy is the balance to say YES/NO in matters of interest and co-operation
saying a NO is more important than a yes at times on world stage , the art of sugar coating the NO is what we are talking about

Is this even a question ? :pound:

But to answer Av's question - given the high rhetoric of he Chini's actions I can very well see India milking the West by dangling the Chini boogeyman for all it is worth.

^^^Nitesh hit the nail on the head. A devoted housewife would not have as many fans as a prostitue would... That is not diplomacy.

Pakistan happens to be a piece of real estate owned by Pakistan army which is ready to act as mercenaries to highest bidders. So, they have greater number of supporters(or protectors or mai-baaps). India, on the other hand, happens to be a country that was recently freed from clutches of the ravaging imperialists and is trying to come up in this harsh world.

As for the diplomacy, both India and Pakistan, suck. India and Pakistan frequently squander advantages by self-goals. India has had the problem of leaders wanting to become legends by being large-hearted(the very same people are not ready to be large-hearted towards their countrymen). Pakistan had a problem of not having leaders at all, they have only had `Dalals' or brokers...
