Nonsense about range of 600km. its C802 aka zarb with improved guidance. The range of C802 is 300km at max and even the NOTAM was for 300km. Indian warships are very well protected against such missiles.

Pakistan successfully test-fires surface-to-sea missile

PHOTO: PAKISTAN NAVY/FILE

Pakistan Navy on Thursday successfully test-fired surface-to-sea missile.

The missile, equipped with avionics modern technology, accurately hit its target in the sea, a navy spokesperson said.

The induction, spokesperson added, would help strengthen defence and operational capabilities of the navy.

Vice Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Khan Hisham Bin Siddique witnessed the test firing.

Pakistan conducts first flight test of surface-to-surface Ababeel missile

On January 24, Pakistan test-fired 2,200-kilometre range indigenously-developed surface to surface nuclear-capable missile Ababeel. The missile is capable of delivering multiple warheads, using Multiple Independent Re-entry Vehicle (MIRV) technology.

The Ababeel test flight was aimed at validating various design and technical parameters of the weapon system.

During the same month, submarine-launched cruise missile Babur-III was successfully test-fired. Babur weapons system incorporates advanced aerodynamics and avionics that can strike targets both at land and sea with high accuracy at a range of 700kms.

Babur-III is a low flying, terrain hugging missile, which carries certain stealth features and is capable of carrying various types of warheads.

Never-Before-Seen Footage Solves BrahMos ‘Island Test’ Mystery

In April 2015, the Indian Army mysteriously withdrew a press statement made just hours before announcing that it had successfully conducted an island launch of the BrahMos Block III supersonic cruise missile from India’s island territories, the Andaman & Nicobar. Neither the Army nor BrahMos Corp. offered an explanation for why the detailed statement, accompanied by photographs of the April launch, was withdrawn. Was the test a failure? The mystery quietly dissipated, but now stands solved. First, take a look at the video above. The April 2015 test did in fact take place, and was precisely how the Army announced it. In fact, the Army conducted two more identical tests a month later in May 2015. Livefist chanced upon never-before-seen footage of these two latter tests in BrahMos Corp’s 2017 official film displayed at the recent Aero India show, and subsequently shared in original form with your correspondent. Our map of the launch from 2015 depicts precisely how the land-to-land launch played out.

Top sources confirm that while the series of tests was fully successful, the reason the statement was withdrawn was that the tests weren’t meant to be announced publicly — certainly not as ‘extended range’ tests (BrahMos Corp recently conducted the first extended range test following India becoming signatory to the MTCR). The distance between Car Nicobar and Trak Island is well within the BrahMos Block III’s 290-km range, so the test actually wasn’t at any ‘extended range’. The other reason why the Army changed its mind about the test was environmental sensitivities that have prevailed over the use of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands for weapons tests. The use of the uninhabited Trak Island (really an atoll) for the test wouldn’t have gone down well with environmentalists (and perhaps departments within the government itself), even though a designated group of islands in the chain have been approved for such target tests.

The tests proved wholly successful though. And the footage you see here on Livefist for the first time confirms that the island strike tests went through without a hitch.

THIS IS CALLED MISSILE TESTING WITH PROOF. IF YOU HAVE SUCH FOOTAGE WE BELIEVE OR F* *K O***F FROM HERE YOU PORKY.

its a c602 ASHM chinese copy of the russian KH35E missile nothing fancy
they inducted it last year with the name of ZARB or some other shit like that

anyways it will be the first target for any of the stand off of glide munitions in our inventory or if we are feeling fancy and want to blow shit up for shits and giggles we can splurge and use brahmos

though a barrage of stand off glide bombs would be enough with no Air defence to stop them these coastal battery will be the first casualty of the war.

You forgot any counter measure against Barak - 8 and Barak - ER. All IN ships are equipped with these which world's best Missiles o counter such threats. Other than being a target practice for our Baraks this missile will be of no use against IN ships.
Yes we know about the countermeasures like Barak 8 and don't worry if we are going to target a ship specially which has this Air Defence system placed on it don't worry not one Missile would be fired towards that ship there would be several.

The target was a small ship which it hit in sea and it was successful
You mean fisherman boats? :biggrin2::bounce::rofl:

IN ships are one of the best in world and certainly are not small like PN's.

Also IN ships are equipped with :brahmos::brahmos: which will take out Pakistani missiles before IN ships come in their range (by now Brahmos' true range of more than 800 kms is clear to you, right? and this missile of yours is having 600kms claimed by you so brahmos will first take out your missile batteries and then IN ships will whoop PN's ass).

But Zarvan has to say 600 KM because we ae testing Brahmos for 600 KM range.

Brahmos range is not 600km. It is 850km. It was always 850km . 450 km is when missile hits the target in a straight low altitude mode. That is however not how brahmos works. Brahmos infact climbs upto a certain altitude and then takes a S maneuvre just before it reaches its target. That is why The LY 80 will be useless against brahmos because brahmos will be out of its range for most of the time. For Brahmos block 3 , the missile takes a O maneuvre to hit a target straight from the top. Neither HQ16 nor HQ9 can intercept brahmos. As for point scoring, I think it is childish on our part to nitpick with Pakistan. For example when we tested our BMD, Pakis said that they have Ababeel which is MIRV capable. Any missile with wide body bus is MIRV capable. Agni 3 has been MIRV capable since its deployment in 2013.We should just ignore these nitpickings and focus on :
1) Quickly developing long range hypersonic QBM like pralay.
2) Developing EMP weapons which can be fitted into missiles and anti missiles. The impact of EMP technology will be immense and bring an enemy to his knees in 5 minutes.
3) Developing mid course interceptors
4) Focusing on lasers to bring down aircrafts and missiles in boost phase itself.
All these technologies are within our reach. Infact DRDO has a poor record in 3rd gen technologies like tanks, aircrafts but has a good record in 4th gen technologies. We should focus on our strengths and buy the rest from international market. Which is the problem I have with the Indian military. We focus too much on technologies of past like tanks and loose our focus on tech of future.

I am assuming there guidance is based on Baabur cruise missile block 3. Most probably a primary GPS guidance with complimentary systems like TERCOM(Terrain Contour Matching). Since it's based on Baabur(so called cruise missile to them), I am saying this because as the test took place a few months ago hence it's quite certain that the guidance mechanism is TERCOM(Terrain Contour matching) definitely, with assisted DSMAC(Digital Scene Matching Area Correlator).

This can be easily fact checked at http://quwa.org/2017/01/09/pakistan-tests-babur-3-submarine-launched-cruise-missile/

Why GPS bases TERCOM/DSMAC assisted guidance and no WAGE assisted INS/DSMAC?

Simply to put they are not good at INS based guidance and knew that TERCOM is ineffective at sea, hence they coupled it with DSMAC, but DSMAC is a digital image and pattern recognition type system which further implies ... It can be jammed! But this can be taken with a pinch of salt, as the chinkies are assisting them.

Fact checking: http://www.ausairpower.net/SP/DT-CM-Guidance-June-2009.pdf

But anything cutting edge like "gross target cueing data to find and destroy its pre-defined target in denied environments" like the Lockheed LRSAM, Nope!

I've now positioned myself to take Pak multi-layered A2/AD defence system seriously unlike other's here thumping on the bandwagon of BARAK SAM systems, what if they used these in salvo mode against us. This means that we now have to seriously think about our 1st strike capabilities during the initial hrs of a possible future campaign. Nevertheless, thank goodness we are now also building the hypersonic variant of brahmos but DRDO and brahmos defence should FastTrack it now.

From the looks of it, they are heavily investing on multi-layered defence system, this one "costal defence system" gives them ability to defend target upto 400Nm, they are defending against SEAD ops definitely, which implies that they are scared from AL-brahmos.
