i very much hope america can remain #1 world policeman. they secure sea lanes, and middle east stability, with trillions of their own money

this is the best possible situation, america upholds global stability, while we don't have to pay one cent for it. and we can continue strengthening our economy.

Somehow, I don't think any amount of squeezing will bring them in line.

They enjoy the company of only failed and rogue states like Pakistan and NK. :tsk:
Peer pressure not just from India but all powers involved will make this happen. All one needs to do is corner China and paint it as the villain and it will fall in line. Voting for NSG waiver is a precedent.

haha, do you think any of the P5 want to dilute their own "veto" power?

which one has said they will give up "veto" power?

for nsg, china let it through so we can sell nuclear reactors to pakistan. we plan to be a big exporter of nuclear plants, that was a good first step. for this decision, nothing to lose, everything to gain

for diluting our veto power, there is NO upside, only loss. why should we ever give our enemy a seat at the global high table?

china backing pakistan or not is irrelevant here.

what really matters is what stand will the US take on this. if its a no from the US, there is no way pakistan will sail through but that is not happening for now.

it is expected US will give full backing so will the western block and the allies as a whole and so pakistan is expected to sail through.

china is yet to reach a level where they can make some country something, yes they have a nuisance value, but then that too has a limit as was seen when india was to be made the exception at the NSG.

[h=2]China backs Pak for non-permanent UNSC seat![/h] :rotflmao:
Am I the only one who finds this funny?
And I thought this thread was at Paks being in the non-permanent seat, not about India being in the permanent seat.

no smoking,
the urge for reform will come from UNGA, once India get 2/3 votes in the UNGA, china stands zero % chance of blocking India, Just like you caved in 2008 in the NSG meet. In 2008 all the NSG members agreed to give india a waiver except china, at the chia could not withstand the pressure and caved in, likewise your country will cave in once India 2/3 votes in the general assembly. if china vetos then again after the 2 months the issue will prop up, china will have veto it inifinetely to block india. nobody can stop india getting permanent seat
You nailed it.

China can keep posturing but it can not postpone the itinerary forever.

Well, objection in NSG is just a gesture from China, india's victory doesn't hurt China that much.
For permanent seat in UNSC, that is another story. The key here for China is not about india but Japan. China will do whatever it can to block Japan's entry. The same thing applies to others, US doesn't want Brazil and Russia opposites German. So the idea of F4 getting in together is not welcomed by any of Big 5.

Unfortunately without other 3, india doesn't have enough influence to get in.

permanent seat is not another story, once we get 2/3 votes in UNGA, the story would be for china to vote on it. also india is under no illusion that the other three countries in the G4 don't have strong chance. India is just with them till voting happens, if each individual countries can't secure 2/3 votes, that won't be india's problem. voting will happen not on G4, but on country basis. G4 is just a vechle to reach to the voting process. India has more then 2/3 votes as of today. other three don't have much chance anyway, they are just banwagninig along with india for a consolation price. by the end of next year India will in UNSC as permanent member. china can do what ever muscle flexing they will have swallow this bitter pill.

Anyway, why india is not in UNSC by now? Why india cannt do it in the past?

Frustrated pathetic perverted losers.....

Bad news Pakistan won the seat... go cry now.
By one vote. Guess who was that?

Now go contemplate whether to wank off or cry yourself into ecstacy.

Sometimes, I marvel at the ability of that country to amble along with a single communal green and white atrophied braincell. But then perhpas trolls never needed one.

OK - the other three nations "elected" to the UN security council along with Pakistan were ...

1. Guatemala
2. Morocco
3. Togo

What does that tell you about the UNSC?

Anyway, Pakistan is a big military power compared to most nations - only problem is, the Military in Pakistan has more important than the people.

All those elected should deposit $10 billion with the UN.!!! their own money not aid/alms.

Of those elected I think only Pakistan will fail to gather that much without help.

UNSC should be disbanded I think. It's a useless place. A new world order has shaped up and that place does not represent that.

I must say it takes courage to be a Pakistani Nationalist in this forum.
Indeed. It takes a great deal of courage (or is it daftness?) to have the piss taken out of you time and time again and keep coming back for more.

Very few can measure up to being the laughing stock of the civilised world.

When can our india friend understand: none of big 5 wants to see a new one sharing their power in permanent UNSC.
These so called "supporting" gestures are just lip works mean nothing.

Remember: in 2008, it was representives of USA and China together crashing the reform requirement from F4.
The big 5 are actually a big 1.
