That's good news.
All jingoism aside, the Pakistani navy is a relatively small force and it is unlikely that it can really participate in major conflicts at the level of the Army or the air force. The navy leadership also does not enjoy the sort of public presence or power wielded by their counterparts in the Army and up to a small extent the air force as well. I think it would benefit them a great deal to reform themselves and orient a substantial portion of their resources toward relief missions.
Larger navies world over have dedicated operational expertise in rescue and relief missions which are in part to build up good will. It wouldn't be so bad for the Pak Navy to build up some good will within their own populace.
