Was Zardari as president trying to find out location of Nucs in Pakistan ??

Rememebe he even was ready to despach ISI chief to India in the aftermath of Mumbay !

Why Gilani is loosing his future by his support to Army?

Poor Bhuttos are paying back for the numerious wars with India AND their Nuc Bombs ! Bhuttos thought by having Nucs they will sideline Army but Army captured Nucs and sidelined Bhuttos !!

'Zardari not safe in Pak'

Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that President Asif Ali Zardari was forced to go to Dubai for medical treatment because of "threats" to his life.

The government and the President's family convinced Zardari to go to Dubai for treatment because there was a risk he would be attacked if he was admitted to a Pakistani hospital, Gilani said while speaking in the Senate or upper house of parliament yesterday.

"He was ill, he feared life threats in Pakistani hospitals that was the reason he did not want to go to any hospital of Pakistan," Gilani said.

"We persuaded him, we convinced him, his family convinced him to go to Dubai," he said.

Zardari, 56, was admitted to the American Hospital in Dubai on December 6 to be treated for a heart condition and was discharged yesterday.

Zardari will be spending some more time in Dubai recuperrating at his private villa in the Emirate.

Gilani had recently referred to threats faced by Zardari's late father when he was admitted to a hospital in Islamabad earlier this year and said the President could have faced similar threats.

Son Bilawal unhappy with President Zardari's mild response to religious radicalization in Pak

ISLAMABAD: Ruling Pakistan People's Party's nominal head Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has reportedly expressed his "displeasure" at his father President Asif Ali Zardari's "watered down response" to the killing of Punjab Governor Salmaan Taseer by a police guard with links to extremists.

Bilawal, who has been playing a greater role in the affairs of the PPP since Zardari travelled to Dubai last week for the treatment of a heart condition, has "independent opinions about events as well as party affairs", a party insider said.

"At one of the meetings, he (Bilawal) expressed his displeasure over his father's watered down response to the killing of Punjab Governor Salmaan Taseer. He thought President Zardari should have taken a stronger position to denounce religious radicalisation that led to the Governor's murder," the unnamed party insider told the Dawn newspaper.

Party insiders disputed the popular perception that Bilawal is young and may not have developed his political faculties.

The 23-year-old Bilawal, who is ineligible to become a member of parliament till September 2013, was thrust into a central position by his father's abrupt departure to Dubai.

Bilawal seems keen on performing his role as PPP chairman, particularly with regard to upcoming polls to the Senate or upper house of parliament in March next year and the general election in 2013, the party insiders said.

"He will lead the manifesto and programme development for the party for the next general elections," said one source.

In recent days, Bilawal has sat in on key meetings chaired by Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani that discussed the President's health and national security issues related to the November 26 cross-border NATO attack that killed 24 Pakistani soldiers.

"Bilawal is in Pakistan on the instructions of President Zardari as he wants to dispel an impression that he and his family have fled," presidential spokesman Farhatullah Babar told the Dawn.

Babar said Bilawal was formally named the PPP chairman after his mother Benazir Bhutto's assassination but had not been performing his role because of his studies.

"Now he has completed his education and is getting engaged in different political activities," he said.

The PPP had announced that Bilawal's political career would be formally launched on August 7 last year in Birmingham but the event was subsequently cancelled after criticism that President Zardari was undertaking a visit to Britain at a time when the people of Sindh had been devastated by catastrophic floods.

There is a growing disgust in Pakistan over all the confusion and mayhem in the name of religion and this boy indicates the same.

I am fine, will return to Pakistan soon: Asif Ali Zardari

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has said that he is completely alright and will return to Pakistan soon. A television anchor who spoke to him quoted the president as saying that many of his enemies do not want him to return to his country.

"They think that I have fled but escape is not an option. I will never leave as I was born in Pakistan and I will die in Pakistan. Inshallah, I will return in a few days and my enemies will be disappointed," television anchor Hamid Mir quoted Zardari as saying.

Zardari, who left Pakistan Tuesday after suffering a stroke that caused bleeding in the brain and facial paralysis, will continue to be in Dubai for over two weeks and may even go to London for further treatment, media reports have said.

Zardari abruptly left for Dubai Tuesday, triggering speculation about his health. There were also rumours of a military coup, which the US scotched Thursday.

Hamid Mir told PTV that he had spoken with Zardari Friday morning and the president told him that speculations about his health were baseless.

He said the president also spoke about the situation in Pakistan, reported Associated Press of Pakistan.

Hamid Mir said Zardari told him he is alright and he had some problem and underwent check-up but now the tests are clear and he will return to Pakistan in a few days.

The doctors have advised the president rest, Hamid Mir added.

Hamid said, the president remarked that perhaps many of his enemies do not want him to return to his country.

What a sad state of affairs that the President of a country flees since there are enemies and continues to fear them even as he talks of return.

It is obvious that the enemies are but the Army and the ISI, which are the real powers, which presides over his fate, life and death.

So unfortunate this land of the Pure turning so blatantly Impure!!

I think USA is going to wait for the fate of Syria and than Iran is settled than the last one will be Pakistan to go the USSR way. There is parallel to be drawn between two nations strong army but weak economically. They should set Baluchistan free and return the Afghanistan area under Pak occupation to rightful owners and the POK along with GB to India.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan's Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani on Thursday said conspirators were plotting to bring down his government, giving his most public indication yet that he fears being ousted from power.

He spoke as the Supreme Court met again to decide whether to order a formal inquiry into a secret memo, allegedly written with approval from the president, on seeking American help in curbing the powerful military.

Rampant speculation that President Asif Ali Zardari could be forced to step down over illness and the scandal has refused to die, despite his return this week from treatment in a Dubai hospital.

"I want to make it clear today that conspiracies are being hatched here to pack up the elected government," Gilani told a gathering at the National Arts Gallery, without naming any names.

"But we will continue to fight for the rights of people of Pakistan whether or not we remain in the government," Gilani said.

Gilani and Zardari have fended off a series of scandals and calls for the government to resign since they took office after the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) won elections in February 2008.

Although elections are not due before February 2013, many observers expect polls some time in 2012. No civilian leader in Pakistan has ever completed a full term in office.

The military is considered the chief arbitor of power and has ruled the country for more than half its existence, seizing power in four coups although analysts rule out any prospect of another imminent takeover.

"They are a disciplined army and follow the constitution," Gilani said.

"They are under the government and will remain under the government."

The prime minister declared himself the country's longest serving premier, with 45 months on the job.

Pakistan's former prime minister, Nawaz Sharif, this week compounded the pressure on the government by demanding elections within 90 days.

The Supreme Court on Thursday adjourned until Friday a hearing on whether to investigate the memo allegedly written by one of Zardari's closest advisers to ask for American help over an allegedly feared military coup in May.

Husain Haqqani, Pakistan's ambassador to Washington, was forced to resign over the scandal and flatly denies the accusations from a US businessman.
