Pakistan completes deployment and integration of Chinese made LY-80 LOMADS Surface to Air Missile.
The missile can hit an aircraft size target up to an altitude of 18000 meters. Indian air force's mainstay fighter jet SU-30MKI has a maximum flight altitude of 17300 meters, well within reach of the new missile system.
However one technical point may be noted.
The maximum flight altitude of fighter jet is calculated above sea level.
The maximum flight altitude of a non air breathing missile is calculated from the launcher.
If LY-80 missile launcher is on a mountain 3000 Meters high. It can hit a target flying at an altitude of 18000 + 3000 = 21000 meters.

LOMADS Low to Medium Altitude air-defense systems 9 Batteries on order Contract signed in 2013 worth 300 Million USD for HQ-16 (70 km range) first battery to be Delivered by China between in 2016. Another order of 6 more batteries signed in 2015. Single battery includes about 8-10 launch vehicles with a capacity of 6 missiles per vehicle.

70 Km Is for HQ-16 not LY-80 which Export version

Another thing 70 KM Range HQ-16 is Still Far from Production And Start Production in 2018
