LoL the pakis go around begging and scrapping in second hand market for old 30 year old western weapons before returning home dissappointed and ordering chinese weapons. Pakis have not signed for chinese subs yet because they were holding out for refurbished type-214's or Agostas from france. Heck they are still hoping that old Type-22 or Type-23's or OHP will become available and they won't have to order crap like F-22p again.

Pakistan accounts for nearly 70% of Chinese arms exports. Does being a single source supplier really make them a success when it is all subsidised to one client state?
Pakistan and China jointly develop and market, such as Thunder (J10) and al Khalid. Pls await good news since there're potential buyers galore in the 3rd world.

You are talking to someone waiting a decade to see a Rafale sale. That is a quality product, China-Pak with obsolete junk may have to wait a lifetime.

Not true Armand. There are enough banana republics and islamic shit holes that need a fighter to just show on parade days. JF-17 which is entirely chinese product fits the bill to a T. What is pakistan providing? Paint?

I don't know, we have conquered a bunch of them and others of the Arab Spring are no friends of China.

A typical response as usuall from a country that ranks in top 10 aid recipients(pakistan rank 27 as per wb list)

and 16-20% of world NGO's are working in that country but still as per wiki india will remain a poor country forever

On topic

Pakistan does account for 55% of chinese export

Deal with french involve bribe as usuall..remember the Pakistan agosta90b submarine case..they ditched pakistan and none of them had a torpedo tube with diameter of 655mm to be able to launch a cruise missile for more than a billion deal in 1990's..the same was the case with type 214 as they were not willing to supply with modified torpedo tube diameter

though 1 agosta90b without france or inferior quality manufacturer help

news about kickbacks in rafale deal are now in public.and it seems like the deal will be cancelled soon.

We have alot of option for JFT while rafale was accepted for IAF under table bribe..wait a few months more to get the real picture before the deal get cancelled

lol

4 more f-22P with modified features are already ordered again
OHP under genesis upgrade does become potent and we will get about 5-6 of them in total.Since the budget ratio is now increased from 44% to 59% for PA..the navy budget is shrinked.once the WOT gets over you will see massive orders

mate i think your long wait is going to be over soon when India will sign the agreement for purchasing 126 Rafales plus 63 possible follow on order in a couple of months:wave:.Rafale is a class apart from the JF-17 Blunder and i don't think most of the countries in the world have the financial capacity to purchase such an expensive aircraft lke Rafale but on the other handJF-17 is a cheap aircraft and is specifically suited for many poor 3rd world countries who have a meagre defence budget!

Pakistan remains major buyer of Chinese arms, says Pentagon report

Asserting that China has signed agreements for arms exports worth USD 11 billion from 2007 to 2011, the Pentagon has said that Pakistan remains Beijing's primary customer for conventional weapons.
"From 2007 to 2011, China signed approximately USD 11 billion in agreements for conventional weapons systems worldwide, ranging from general purpose materiel to major weapons systems," the Pentagon told the Congress in its annual report on China.

In 2012 and the coming years, China's arms exports will likely increase modestly as China's domestic defence industry improves, it said, adding that Chinese defence firms are marketing and selling arms throughout the world with the bulk of their sales to Asia and the Middle East/North Africa.

In 2012, China unveiled the Yi Long tactical unmanned aerial vehicle, which will probably be marketed to developing countries, it said.

Pakistan, it said, remains its primary customer for conventional weapons. "China engages in both arms sales and defence industrial cooperation with Islamabad, including co-production of the JF-17 fighter aircraft, F-22P frigates with helicopters, K-8 jet trainers, F-7 fighter aircraft, early warning and control aircraft, tanks, air-to-air missiles, anti-ship cruise missiles, and cooperation on main battle tank production," the Pentagon report said.

"We describe in this report China's bilateral military interactions with other countries, including Pakistan. China has a very longstanding historical relationship with Pakistan, and it's one that we watch and we report on in this report,"

Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defence for East Asia David Helvey told reporters during a Pentagon news conference.

Helvey said the US is monitoring very carefully China's military modernisation, the implications of that modernisation both for opportunities to cooperate with China in a multinational or bilateral context, but also for potential implications for regional stability.

According to the report, Sub-Saharan African countries view China as a provider of low-cost weapons with fewer political strings attached compared to other international arms suppliers.

"China uses arms sales as part of a multifaceted approach to promote trade, secure access to natural resources, and extend its influence in the region," it said.
