Still.. It should have been us. Egypt, Taiwan, UAE all have Mirages they indicated to sell at some point.

But another thing mustn't be forgotten...

Pakistan is buying Mirage- 2000- 9 fighter jets from United Emirates.

...news of Pakistan buying Mirage 2000 from UAE succeeded multiple times before in 2008 & 2014 as well, but nothing happened. On top of that Pak is now destitute.

Also UAE decided in 2017 to upgrade their Mirages with Rafale's tech, so i doubt they'd have any intention of selling those now.

Mirage 2000-9 posses many sub systems of Rafale... Dont forget it can too be equipped with meteor, black shaheen, storm shadows.... In fact its nothing but a single engine Rafale or Rafale can be called as twin engine M2K...

And one more thing now we should not forget that we are not going to operate Rafale now if its proved that Pak pilots were trained on Qatari Rafales.... Current govt even if its re elected or new govt will straight away cancel this deal...

We will be depending only on Flankers, Bisons, M2K5s to deal with this threat....
