ALH or LCH will be ready for induction soon because the project is going on smoothly

In the recent army exercises Vijayee Bhava ALH also participated

HELINA missile has NOT even been TESTED even once

It is 5 years away

A LCH without ATGM is like a toothless tiger

Even the land version is at least 2 years away because NAMICA carrier has to be modified

Army cannot be blamed for Nag's delays

@PN Some of the sub system of Helina has been test on Nag, just recently they tested something that will stare the missile in mid flight and change the target. Israel as got the same on spike.

can someone explain the military logic of nag as far as i can tell :
it's too big and heavy to be hand held.
it's range is very limited for a dedicated tank destroyer missile
it has yet to be inducted and it's platform is already 40 years old
can someone please clarify why bother with such a project

pankaj, this is interesting logic, first you keep testing a product for years, and when it passes the trials, you point out issue in the carrier, some thing like "if you are not able to kill the rider kill the horse". Also, the LCH itself is getting tested as of now.

That was the purpose of development, a missile which can be fired from a dedicated carrier

it's range is very limited for a dedicated tank destroyer missile
it has yet to be inducted and it's platform is already 40 years old

This is interesting, can you put more light on bold portion

Pack you are right but DRDO cant help it, it is based on GSQR of Indian army, GSQR is something which cannot be achieved by any one and why some one does achieve, IA changes the GSQR.

well namica is a modified bmp 2 (first inducted in 1972)
as for range our dedicated anti tank carrier uses spike NLOS has a range of 25 km wail being twice as light as the nag
( only 70 kg)
i don't think nag range is better then spike er (8 km)
