VISAKHAPATNAM: Bodies of two defence personnel were found under suspicious circumstances on the railway tracks falling under Pendurty railway station (PRS) limits of East Coast Railways (ECoR) here on Sunday morning.

On being informed by railway trackmen, Government Railway Police (GRP) at Visakhapatnam railway station immediately reached the spot. Following enquiries, one of the deceased was identified as KK Josh, 34, chief engine room artificer (CERA) at Shipbuilding Centre, a unit of ministry of defence at the Eastern Naval Command (ENC) premises here. The other was identified as Abhish Shivam, 33, a chief engineer working at INS Arihant, India's first nuclear-powered submarine.

While Josh, a resident of Kakani Nagar near the airport, was a native of Kozhikode, Shivam belonged to Ernakulam district in Kerala and was living at the Navy quarters at Dolphins Hills. Both of them were posted in the city three years ago.

The GRP team along with a dog squad and fingerprint team scouted the area around the tracks and collected clues. While GRP cops maintained that a case was registered and awaiting the postmortem report from King George Hospital, relatives of the deceased and the leaders of Kerala Kala Samiti (KKS) alleged that the deaths appeared to be under suspicious circumstances and demanded that the police immediately launch a high-scale probe into the incident.

GRP circle inspector A Parthasaradhi told TOI that they had not seen any suspicious marks on the bodies of the two near the railway tracks. "As on Sunday, we filed a case and sent the bodies for postmortem at KGH. We have to wait for the report before making any statement," Parthasaradhi said.

Relatives and locals, however, raised suspicion over the incident, pointing out that there were no visible injuries on the bodies to show that they had come under a passing train. Suspicion was also raised that the two had been attacked elsewhere and their bodies thrown near the tracks.

GRP officials said there were no suspicious marks on the bodies. But the victims' kin said there were no visible injuries to show they had been run over by a train.

India is a very open country for intelligence agencies of all the countries . If Sikhs are arrested for spying then its work of Khalistani groups, If anyone with Muslims name then its ISI , if Hindus then for money and if north east people then separatists. if Christians then Maoists . as if there are no international spy agencies working inside India.

Who will not benefit , if India is having nuclear technology for submarines ?

Even Dr Bhabha and Dr. Vikram Sarabhai (who were famous indian scientists) had died under mysterious circumstances. Finger of suspicion pointed to foreign powers who were against India's nuclear weapons. No US, Russian or Chinese senior defence scientists or engineers can be killed like this without the govt uncovering the tracks of the killers in short order. They anticipate such covert action and do proper surveillance.

CBI needs to investigate with best forensic facilities available to them.

This requires very careful investigation.

Does not appear to be a routine murder, given the sensitive jobs that they were assigned to.

I just cant help my brain from hatching all kinds of conspiracy and high profile assassination theories.

But, it could simply be a deal gone bad given the nature of state the bodies were found in and the fact that their bike did not have any damage whatsoever.

Also, I just cant seem to comprehend that these guys went there on their own fully knowing that they were going to meet potentially dangerous people.

So, maybe they must have gone there to meet someone and in the ensuing fight lost their lives.

Now the thing that has to be uncovered is that, why did the fight take place?

Did the people who killed them ask for any sensitive info on the nuke sub and then kill them or was it just some old debt settled ??

Something extremely fishy. If there are no marks on the body then chemical agents or serum cannot be ruled out. It should be a standard operation procedure for all sensitive defence related investigations esp in cases like this be handled by the central agencies rather than the local police.

I'm not sure why you're weighting the location of the bodies so heavily. It is entirely possible they were killed at another location and moved there to throw off the police.

Why do American spy agencies want a Malayalam translators at exorbitant salary ? - daily.bhaskar.com

While explaining the job structure of these contractual firms, the reported quoted a consultant as saying that one of these firms working in close loop with CIA requires a Malayalam Translator.

"The third job is for a senior linguist fluent in Malayalam, spoken mostly in the Indian state of Kerala, where there's a growing Maoist insurgency. That the Pentagon is looking for someone who speaks the language suggests American intelligence assets are there. The listing specifies austere conditions," said William Golden, the job consultant.

The report also suggested that the job was well paid due to risk involved.

"The pay fluctuates widely, depending on the candidates' skills and experience. "This money comes from the intelligence budget, so there isn't much oversight," Golden says. He estimates that the Malayalam translator job, for example, will pay between $180,000 and $225,000 a year. That's partly to compensate for the austere conditions as well as insurgents' tendency, unmentioned in the posting, to target translators first. The pay is also a reflection that the past 10 years have been boom times for private spies."
Both scientists were from Kerala.

Correct. They went wherever they went with a pre-planned motive because they first brought their wives together to one place and told them that they were going out and left together.

If you think about it, putting the bodies where they will be crushed by a train is a very convenient way to obscure the true cause of death.

My sincere heartfelt condolences to the families of these brilliant sons of our country.

May they find eternal peace in the Beyond.

Something badly smells of internal sabotage.

While foreign interests cannot be ruled out, we must understand that no one will sell us nuke subs so any foreign country doing this can't be always said.

This could be even an inside hand so that we may continue to depend on leased nuclear subs.

Whoever is behind this has to be an insider who knew very well about the scientists behind such a secret project whose pics are also not even out in the open.

Indeed. The ongoing agitations in that region have disrupted trains. Otherwise those bodies would not have been found intact.

wtf how reckless is our Indian Intelligence. If we think Indian scientists working on national Interest projects is it not important that Intelligence agencies check every movement of scientists working in such projects, along with it safety of there life adds. What a pathetic type of Intelligence monitoring system... until incidents like this happen cant act. Where is foresight of Intelligence, with out it we cant call our selves(got intelligence agencies). This is the difference we have when compared to foreign Intelligence. Its not that giving reason that intelligence cant prevent such incidents in vast population of our messy country. what is lacking is pro activeness and sting operations added aggressiveness to fetch results. Having a attitude(Intelligence system objective) and strong sense of averting incidents like this means not loosing an unseen wars which are far but nearing us(India) theoretically.
