Last week in the wake of Eid, nation has seen multiple sporadic incidents of hurting Hindu incidents by so called unidentified miscreants by cops who seems to completely oblivious of what is happening under their nose.


In the latest development from Ranchi according to sources, the clash erupted last night after prohibited meat was thrown in front of a temple in Doranda area. Following which, clashes broke out in several parts of the city by the protesters. Security forces were deployed to shun the violence.


Ranchi Deputy Commissioner Manoj Kumar said prohibitory order under section 144 CRPC was promulgated at Manik Tola area last night and in Ranchi city today banning processions and gathering in groups. At least 60 persons were taken into preventive custody, Kumar said. Police forces were deployed in strength and the situation was now “under control”, he said.

Raghubar Das, CM of Jharkhand visited the Hinoo Chowk here and appealed to the people to maintain peace and tranquility, official sources said. He also took to twitter to appeal the people of the city to maintain peace and not to indulge in violence.


Meanwhile he directed Director General of Police D K Pandey to keep a strict vigil in the wake of tension between two communities at Manik Tola after clash was reported.

Similar incident were also reported from Silchar, Southern valley of Assam bordering Bangladesh. Sources said tension erupted in this southern Assam town when head of a beheaded cow was found in the temple at Meherpur locality on Friday evening, the day of Eid festivity. Two groups of people were engaged in pelting stones at each other over the incident in which at least five persons were injured.



Police and CRPF rushed to place and dispersed the mob by charging baton. Police arrested seven persons in this connection. On the follow-up BJP leaders including Silchar MLA Dilip Paul this morning went near the temple and began demonstration in protest against the incident in the place of worship. A team of police and CRPF led by SP (Cachar) Rajveer rushed there and detained the MLA and five other BJP functionaries.

Later in the afternoon the court ordered their release.

Looking at this two events modus-operandi seems like Hindu temple was identified as a source to malign the sentiments of innocent hindus. Question is who is playing this deadly game of flaring up communal tension and by when the government machinery will be able to book the culprits, is something to wait and watch.

Residents stung by recoveries of meat from Temple,Masjid in Ranchi

The Assembly elections are taking place in Bihar.And politics have caused ‘meat problem’ in Jharkhand capital.

Days after beef was recovered from outside one temple in Ranchi’s Doranda locality on the night of Bakr Id/Eid ul-Adha(Friday),meat was found outside two temples in Ranchi on Monday.

Today morning,many localities including Ghaus Nagar, Manitola, Pokhartoli near Hinoo locality witnessed violence since last night.Even firing was reported between Muslims and Hindus in Doranda locality with the result that many sections of the police were deployed in the area and several schools including Guru Nanak Higher Secondary School were closed after students and teahchers arrived and classes took place.

Though normal life was returning to take place in the entire city,www.jharkhandstatenews.com conducted a survey at the affected areas to know who were throwing the meat infront of temples and what was the opinion of the comman man belonging to both communities.

“Since no body has seen any body throwing the meat,we can not blame any one”,said Junaid Ahmed at Doranda.

Asked if ruling BJP and the RSS were behind these events,Ahmed said:”We can not blame any body as no body has seen any one.In any case,who ever has done it,whether they belong to the Muslim or Hindu community,must be booked.Because it is a serious crime to throw meat infront of a temple and cause communal tension.”

Surprisingly,even some BJP and RSS workers have come forward to appeal to people to maintain unity and help the police catch the culprit.

In Doranda,a resident belonging to the Congress party,who does not want to be named,confided that the crime was committed by a group of his partymen to defame the ruling BJP-RSS so that the Congress-JD(U)-RJD gain political mileage in Bihar.

”I have solid information that the partymen have stooped down to this level to gain ground against the BJP in Bihar-Jharkhand”,he said preferring anonymity.

“I have also learnt that the party(Congress)is going to use its wings such as NSUI and INTUC to paralyse universities and PSUs in near future to defame the ruling BJP government in the State(Jharkhand)and at the Centre”,said another ex Congress leader.

While the police is yet to catch the culprits,these meat incidents have caused law and order problem in Jharkhand’s capital city, ahead of Assembly elections in Bihar and festival of Dassehra-Durga Puja-Diwali-Chhat -season across the country.

Incidentally,meat was also found outside a Masjid in Ormanjhi,24 KM from Ranchi.

Since most people here would naturally follow English MSM and SM, they tend to overestimate its impact. This forms a small section of Indian society, worse still, a lot of these people tend not to vote, since they'd much rather enjoy the day off for voting. The real impact is made by Hindi and regional language papers and television.

Anyway, no change is going to come from the top in India in this context. BJP is not a Hindu party, it simply uses these issue for its advantages as Advani did with Babri.

Real change will only come when people at the ground get fed up. That is happening all over, particularly where the percentage of a certain religion is higher.
