A5 itself is 50tonne missile. It is already 10000km range if we go by the standards of similar missiles by weight. I don't think there is a need for A6 at all. The same missile with modified 3rd stage is all it takes for MIRV or any new addition
10,000?? I don't think so. A5 range at full payload:
5000 km with MIRVs
6000 km with unitary warhead
While 8000 km at minimum payload.

1500kg payload with depressed trajectory of 600km gives 5000km range. If MIRV is used, 3 warheads of 400kg will be used and total payload will be 1200kg. So, I don't see the max range as 5000km even for MIRV.

Compare with USA based Trident, Minuteman or Russian R29 series ICBM to verify the range. Agni 5 having maximum altitude of 600km is simply bogus. A 50ton missile can't have such low altitude

50 km range is for QRSAM probably.

700 km is still a mystery.
QRSAM is short ranged. 50km is a bit too much. Remember that QRSAM is for mobile units. There is no need to have 50km range for mobile SAMs

Not really............ You always need a buffer zone while testing.

QRSAM is supposed to be 25-30 Km range. Not sure why 50 Km is needed but looking at the trajectory I think 700 km is Nirbhay.

Because of the pattern of flight path. But even Nirbhay is doubtful. You do keep the splash point away from land mass. But here it is moving towards land.

Are our floating test range ready?

The splash point is few hundred k from the land. Also, the trajectory is parallel to land rather than moving towards land.
