Fifteen Pakistani soldiers have been abducted after dozens of militants attacked a paramilitary fort in Pakistan's northwestern province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::taunt1::taunt1::taunt1:

Local police officer Ejaz Abid said the attack took place early on Friday in Tank district of the province.

Pakistani Taliban has claimed responsibility for the act of violence, adding that around 30 soldiers have been kidnapped in the attack.

Pakistani Taliban spokesman Ehsannulah Ehsan said the attack was in retaliation for the death of a local Taliban commander. He added that abductors plan to kill the kidnapped Pakistani soldiers.

Since late 2009, there has been a surge in militant attacks in Pakistan.

Over 35,000 Pakistanis have lost their lives in bombings and other militant attacks since 2007. Thousands more have been displaced by the wave of violence and militancy sweeping across the country.

The Soldiers Life

The soldiers life is not for all
A soldier must be willing to give his all
He is overworked and underpaid
A truer patriot was never made
Ready to go at any time
Wherever there is trouble or the first sign
His courage and honor are unsurpassed
Ready and willing to complete the task
Travelling to lands both near and far
He stands his post and looks at the stars
Wondering what he might have done
If he had not chosen to carry a gun
Remember the next time that you are driving by
And see the flag flying proud and high
That somewhere out there a soldier stands
Weary and cold in a foreign land
Protecting our country from our foes
Standing tall and proud come rain or snow.

May be they decided it's better to be killed by their own terrorist muslim brothers than kafir Amreki soldiers.

Actually there was report that Pak is preparing 21 something woman terrorists to fight against India... so they have realized that Paki men are impotent against India.

Are the victims soldiers or paramilitaries? Either way, Force Protection was lacking. Why "kidnap" when there are no demands by the Taliban? It would just be as effective to overrun the outpost and kill everybody outright, Keeping prisoners adds considerable logistical problems.
