I dont think anyone will wait for more comfortable to travel inside city!! Just AC buses will do fine.

I would anyday take a Volvo or Benz to the Tata Marco Polo buses. The comfort level is different especially when you commute for over 30 minutes. I live on outer ring road, so the Volvo bus frequency is excellent, every few minutes.

I saw some Merc-Benz buses in Bangalore too. I think 10 were ordered and more will be in time.

This is stuff from 2006. We have a lot more than just 1000 Volvos today.

There was an instance when a Volvo was burnt because of an accident on Old Airport Road right outside HAL Helicopter Division.

Merc is rolling out these buses in the name of Bharat-Benz if I am not wrong. They will be sourcing components locally & refining the original city bus design. Not bad idea imo.

^^ I think only trucks will roll out in the name of bharat benz.

Volvo is better than Benz anyday..Having experienced both models while travelling with "Neeta" I can say that.

Maybe elsewhere, but AFAIK, those in Mumbai-Pune route are made by Volvo at their facility in India.
