It says.......
Ministry sources said the DAC has cleared the long pending proposal to acquire 814 mounted guns of 155mm/52 calibre.

There is nothing in the news to indicate that DAC approved 814 mounted gun tender has progressed any further. Neither any News have been heard of Dhanush or other towed artillery success. Tests by the army were completed six months back on Dhanush. Metallurgical analysis, something not well understood were said to be pending of the barrel. Is this another way for the army to reject Dhanush.

The only active news is that BAE has relented and would transfer production of M777 to India to satisfy India's quest for light artillery gun. They have a rider in their proposal that a minimum order of more than 400 guns or more be placed. That will preclude the Kalyani light gun project.

There was a time when army created ruckus for not having the 155mm gun and now it is all quite.

Have the arms merchant quitened down that they will get order but indirectly to supply components to make in India that too much smaller.
