Furthermore, the screeshots from that season hint that they will reach the ocean by the end of that season. So basement arc is going to be covered by season 3. This means there is good chance for a season 4. BTW, will they skip the rebellion arc? There seems to be no other way.

i guess you are talking about world trigger??? if yes, then on character development and plot standpoint it is good maybe even brilliant. however the protagonist is weak and regardless to say that as soon as he grasps the realities of his power , the series end. i am talking about the anime , of course. manga on the other hand is slow and is far behind the anime . there was a lot of potential but it is seldom realized in the manga/anime.
