Malaysian MPs seek BJP's help against discrimination

Nov 28, 2011

NEW DELHI: MPs from Malaysia's opposition Democratic Action Party Monday urged the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leadership to raise issues of "discrimination" against Malayasian Hindus in their bilateral meetings with the authorities of their country.

MPs M Manogaran and S Ramakrishnan said they had a cultural and civilisational bond with India and want it to provide "leadership on issues concerning human rights".

After Islamic Pakistan, Bangladesh it's turn to Islamic Malaysia. I don't think India can do much.

Malaysia is not perfect. But so is India. But with regards to Islamisation, Indians and all Asians should rest assured that Malaysia is not heeding in that direction. Malaysia on the other hand has and continue to embrace, albeit informally, Malay first policy (and Malays happened to be moderate Muslims in general). Malaysia is still one of the most dynamic multi-cultural and multi-ethnic countries in the SEA region after Singapore.
