Cow slaughter a non-bailable offence in Maharashtra - The Times of India
Cow maybe banned, but buffalo isn't.
It is all the same.
And anyway, Indian cow is crap compared to Argentinian, Check that out.
Why make a song and a dance over practically dead, emaciated Indian cow, when you get prime beef from Argentina and that too, without steroids ingested US beef?
Tushar Gandhi overrates himself, just because he is a Gandhi, who is falsely idolised by this country.
Gandhi was no saint. He had all the human foibles including going back on his word that Partition will be over his dead body.
He allowed Partition reneging his pious words and so if a Gandhi progeny talks through his posterior, I am not surprised.
The name 'Gandhi' is not a Holy Cow, even if the intelligence is of the bovine class.
This ill read Tushar Gandhi does not even know that in Kashmir, a Wazwan which is a multi-course meal in the Kashmiri Muslim tradition and treated with great respect and its preparation is considered an art, almost have all the dishes are meat-based (lamb, chicken, fish, but never Beef)
A steak is a cut of meat sliced perpendicular to the muscle fibres, potentially including a bone.
It does not have to be of a cow.
Thread already exists.
Its bjp/sangh dream to have power to decide what non hindu population and southern dalit can eat.
Their dreams come true in mh,hinduvta will always discriminate against anybody is not hindu, shame on those people who say hinduvta treats all indian as equal and its secular.
What next ban on killing rat.
Cow slaughter ban is ok. But service tax on milk and milk products not ok!
Wonderful. Now all Maharashtrans can sleep in peace now and enjoy the fruits of this historic achievement.
An American ranchers can look forward to increased beef exports to India. Fun all around!!
What is so discriminatory? How would a muslim react if I were to kill & eat somebody/something they hold holy and dear?
So now you are the expert on the dietary preferences of the"non hindu population and southern dalit"?
As opposed to the Abrahimic world view of "Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam"....oh wait....
Kuchh ot bechaari billiyon ka socho yaar!
Didn't understand the ban on buffaloes, bulls though. Cow was anyways banned.
Question is now what about 1000s of old cows/buffaloes/bulls. The expense to feed & keep them alive will be beyond ordinary farmer.
BTW, its amazing that a religious tinge is given to this as if only Muslims eat beef and will be affected. While load of crap that. While I don't eat beef (except an occasional sheekh) but my "Brahmin" friends do 😂😂
So idiots giving a communal touch need a tight slap.
That happens all the time. Trolls on both sides are responsible, not excluding the chest thumping liberals who're proudly proclaiming they'll break the law and eat beef. Well who is the fanatic now?
Few facts -
Water footprint rate of Beef (15415 litres per kg) is larger as compared to others like Pork, Sheep, Chicken etc (4000-8000) and way above the crops (<1000).
Waterfootprint.org: Water footprint and virtual water
The water footprint of poultry, pork and beef: A comparative study in different countries and production systems
Energy input to output ratio for lean beef are ranging from 54 to 117 against that of 24 for other meat, milk-eggs 7.7 and grains at 2:1.
That is how inefficient and burdening the beef consumption is.
I donot think they hold and animal holy and dear
I thought the ban was on cow slaughter and not beef. Did they really ban buffalo slaughter as well?
Separate names with a comma.
