We are talking of the war crimes that happened in 2008 Sri Lankan offensive against the LTTE. What does 1983 have to do with it?

What war crimes??? LTTE's the one that done war crimes!!! SLA given them limited cease fires to let the civilians out! But they held them for their safety... so in the end some people got killed in the crossfire!!! It wasn't the Sinhalese army who denied supply to civilians it's the LTTE............ remember even LTTE fought with the food supplied by the government!

There has been a historical discrimination of the Tamils in Sri Lanka.

That apart in the modern times, Bandaranaikye though initially supported both Tamil and Singhala as the National Language and then went back on that and made it only Singhala.

Bandaranaiyke is also responsible for not controlling the 1958 riots against minority Tamil population where many Tamil were massacred.

1970 to 1975 was the worst time for the Tamils where they were reduced to a second class status amidst the 'Singhalese first' policy.

In 1983, there was another major outbreak of Singhala violence against the Tamil minority and a pogrom against them was masterminded by Jayawardhane.

Well I posted about common fact! Even those rapes appeared in early 1990s, there were no rape case in Eelam war 4! Anyway Sri Lankan soldiers never acted like animals! What is your proof??? heavily biased CH 4 video or ex-LTTE cadre woman confession???
