Source Dawn News:

PESHAWAR: At least one civilian and two suspected terrorists were killed in an exchange of fire between unidentified gunmen and security forces attacked Peshawar's Christian Colony on Friday morning, security sources said.

Firing reportedly began around 6am, when five to six terrorists attacked the colony, security sources told DawnNews. The gunmen are reportedly wearing suicide jackets, the sources said.

The sound of explosions was heard in the area, eyewitnesses claimed, and a helicopter was spotted conducting aerial surveillance.

Additional contingents of security forces, including police, Frontier Corps and Pakistan Army commandos have been deployed to the area and an operation is ongoing, DawnNews reported. The area has been cordoned off.

The colony lies near the Pak-Afghan border and the Warsak Dam

I doubt if they are using those ones missing from Baluchistan, swat, KP and Fata. Making them run and then killing them in fake encounter?

Local sources, though, told Al Jazeera that at least one civilian was killed and several wounded in the attack, which was claimed by the Pakistan Taliban-linked Jamaat-ur-Ahrar group.

Pakistan is now free of ‘organised presence’ of terrorists, claims Army

Pakistan Army Thursday said it has killed over 3,500 militants and claimed that the entire country has been cleared of “organised presence” of terrorists.:rofl: Military spokesman Lt Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa said at a press briefing that since launch of ‘Zarb-e-Azb’ military operation against terrorists in June 2014, armed forces have achieved “major successes” in the fight against terrorism.:rofl:

“I can say that there is no hideout of militants in any area of Pakistan as we have cleared all area of organised presence of militants,” he said.

“The salient operational guidelines for the operation were that it would be an indiscriminate operation, collateral damage would be avoided and human rights would be taken into consideration,” Bajwa said.

He said more than 3,500 militants have been killed since the operation was launched while 537 soldiers lost their lives and another 2,272 injured.

“Terrorism was rampant in the country in 2014, which is before Operation Zarb-e-Azb was launched, he said, adding that there were about 311 IED blasts, 74 attacks, and 26 suicide blasts.”

“There was enough explosive material there to carry out five IED blasts every day for 21 years. They could have caused 134,000 casualties with the amount of material we recovered, Bajwa added.

He said more than 21,000 intelligence based operations were conducted in the country and succeeded to break the nexus between militants, facilitators and financiers.

“We have two challenges: first managing 2,600 km border with Afghanistan and honourable return of 3 million Afghan refugees,” he said.

He said loopholes on the border will be plugged as government will set up 18 regular crossing points where only those having proper documents will be allowed to cross.

Bajwa said that Daesh has been smashed as its entire core leadership of about 20-25 militants have been arrested, including Pakistan chief of Daesh, Hafiz Umar.

He said total 309 supporters and operatives of Daesh (ISIS) were nabbed in countrywide operations. The threat of ISIS is now from Afghanistan where it is present in at least three border provinces of Kunar, Nangarhar and Khost.

Afghan sim cards retrieved from dead terrorists. Could this be a false flag attack to complain to Americans, look Afghans are targeting Christians but brave Pakistanis saved them.

Terrorists no longer hold any ground in Pakistan; it's quite true. There are still small fragmented groups that are slowly dying out.

This attack came from Afghanistan. Like most recent terrorist attacks.

There is a reason why we're building a trench, wall and limited gates - it's the last phase of the Operation.

LOL.... always blaming "foreigners" like a typical Paki spreading lies and running away from responsibility.

btw you think that building trench would end all terrorism in Pakistan... so how would you build trench for this gentlemen for whom trenches means nothing?

Do you know him? Do you know where is he?

Secret Hint: He is NOT a Indian or Afghan or Irani or Chini or Jew or Amriki or Alien.
