Leasing Submarine from Russia?

Hey guys,

I heard about prime minister trying its best to convince Russia to give India its most powerful nuclear submarine on lease. Do you think Russia will agree?

Russia initially offered to India to refurbish the Akula 2 class "K-322 Kashalot" nuclear submarine as a follow up to the lease of INS Chakra.
The news you are referring to is the one posted bellow.

However it was reported that disagreements have come up and the deal has stalled as reported.

In a separate offer, the Russians have also offered India their conventional Amur class submarines.

As of now the Indian Navy has not accepted the offer and instead have opted to float a global tender to evaluate submarines for their
undersea fleet.

Nepra we leased is a very modern sub though it man not be the most modern one. We should go for Yasen class.

Yasen is the most modern sub in the world bt the only glitch is tat it is to expensive as it costs around $3.5 Billion per boat
