So here is a short history about it before anyone comments.

Though I usually dont like Al-Katua channel(biased against India) but since it's a video about a fellow Ummah Chumma country they should be unbiased.

Population of Kurds = Almost 3 crore(28 Million 2014 estimate)
Religion = 98% Sunni and rest Shias and others
A total of 32 countries already have a diplomatic presence in Erbil(Kurd capital)

The referendum was taken on 25-Sept-2017 and 92% said YES for a independent state.

Iraq,Iran,Turkey are against it and already threatening to use Military force.
Russia,Israel supports Kurdistan.

this is inevitable the Kurds have had legitimate territorial ambitions since at least the latter half of the 18 century and besides this is the Logical end to the Sykes Picot line that were drawn by the Brits and the French to carve up the upper Mideast
regions of the defeated Ottoman empire and the biggest mistake of which was the creation of Iraq

this shows the fragile nature of Artificial countries that were constructed on colonial power struggles I guess that the Yankees to are in on this and are just covering for the bear and the Lion of Jhuda by staying "neutral" on this

if you see the power dynamics then it will curtile the Power of 2 of the major players in the region and disestablish the 3rd one completely leaving only two major native and 1 outside power in the Mideast
1 Israel
2 Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
3 Anglo Saxon powers
Times are really interesting :notbad:

they could ask for connection through Georgia and Armenia to the black sea and through Azerbaijan to the Caspian sea
A couple of things.
Georgia, no good ports, besides route passes through the mountainous lesser Caucasus range. And Turkey is in same direction, they will oppose it physically aka militarily.
Azerbaijan is a friend of Turkey.

Which is why they will need support of atleast one of the neighbouring countrys???
Iran???
I'm not sure though...
Iran will not support them because they will also lose land to the proposed Kurdish state which would include the city of Kermanshah so the Iran supporting the kurds is a big no no but they have the bear on their side so who needs more

Kurds will have to compromise with someone; nobody in the region likes/wants a Kurd State and they are land-locked
So.....

wather they like it or not they will have to deal with it the reson why no one likes it is because of the existential bane of all modern nation states territorial integrity and look at the potential states in the region and besides the kurds will dethrone the arab domination in the area because as per Wikiji Iraqi Kurdistan are estimated to contain around 45 billion barrels (7.2×10^9 m3) of oil, making it the sixth largest reserve in the world. Extraction of these reserves began in 2007.Other mineral resources that exist in significant quantities in the region include coal, copper, gold, iron, limestone (which is used to produce cement), marble, and zinc. The world's largest deposit of rock sulfur is located just southwest of Erbil (Hewlêr).[

This is for future, so that middle East can burn for longer time.

I agree that Kurds in Iraq were suppressed by Saddam.

After Operation Iraqi Freedom, there wes chatter on creating a new country for Kurds, but it didn't happen.

If I see this correctly then, new Kurd country will form with the land from both Syria and Iraq. Lot of support by US... and so on.

Once the time is ripe, i.e, around 5 to 10yrs, it will start towards Iran thus bringing battle to Iran's soil. Putting a Check to Turkey (Russia and Turkey friendship). Russian and Turkey friendship was close to reality before ISIS, FSA attacks and all that. So yeah, Kurdistan can act as US leverage on Turkey.

Turks would go berserk. They are suppressing demands of their Kurds for decades.

Russia was suppporting Kurdistan but now they are supported by USA......... You can see the Kurdish women don't wear burka, hijab etc.
And they are extremely liberal.

USA is creating another country like Israel....... They will control turkey and Iran at the same time.

1/3 population of turkey is Kurdish..... And Iran also have a large population of Kurdish people...... So after the creation of Kurdistan...... Expect wars with turkey and iran....... Kurdistan will get best weapons, training & all the other support from USA and Israel.

So instead of an equaliser, Kurdistan is gonna be a destabiliser state. Very likely that new born Kurdistan will arouse Kurds in neighboring states for secsession or insurgency. US has troubled ME in a big way. Also Syria should not get fragmented as it will weaken Russian hold in ME.

New Delhi:
General VK Singh on Thursday tweeted from Iraq claiming that the frontline areas of Mosul were being cleared by the Kurdish military forces in Iraq, Peshmerga, and that he was still looking for information on the 39 Indian held in the area by ISIS. Relatives of the missing have now said that they would wait till June 16 for news about those abducted, failing which, they will all get together and once again reach Delhi.

===================

Kurds need arms and this should be provided to them, At least small arms ammunition and sniper rifles ..
