any idea what is their on blue ? Red is AK 630.

Maybe it is the electro optical tracking sensor for the AK-630 guns

similar devices can be seen in these following pictures.

and this one a hi-res one to magnify and observe.

Dont think so. Doesn't show any resemblance to the original pic. @Decklander

it can be this

this is stated at Trishul Blog.

Countering The ASCM Threats
The IN today is sufficiently well-protected against subsonic ASCMs, thanks to the combination of indigenously developed shipborne jammers and RAFAEL-built Barak-1 CIWS, which will in future be supplemented by the EL/M-2248 MF-STAR/Barak-2 LR-SAM combination, along with IAI/ELTA Systems-supplied EL/M-2222S NAVGUARD, which is an active phased-array radar-based missile approach warning system (MAWS) that automatically detects, classifies and verifies incoming threats, and consequently triggers the targetted warship's hard-kill/soft-kill self-defence systems.

Can You explain the Sabotage angle in sinking of INS sindhu Rakshak.

Also See the pictures He has posted. IN is not giving out the pictures of Kolkata Class Destroyers. Neither MDL is doing that. But the pictures of such High Value Naval Assets are being shot by tourists onboard of cruise ships!! How do you expect spies not to take detailed pictures.
Paranoia or not, the guy managed to get snapshots of a lot of our front-line warships. Besides the museum ship INS Vikrant, 2 Delhi class DDG, a Kolkata class DDG, 3 Talwar class FFG, 2 subs, 2-3 Godavari class frigate, a tarantul corvette are easily identifiable.
After detailed pictures what are you going to do.Can you explain us the capabilities of this ship by just looking at it

Sabotaged! Umm if navy warships can be sabotaged while on home base by dinki riders from Karachi......then god save us

PS : You can try going closer to those warships, you will know what sabotage means :pound:

You ever been to mumbai and the dockyrds or even gateway of India?
Nope. But still my question stands. We had a Terrorist attack via sea in the same mumbai. Any defense lapse will lend us a blow in face.

I accept your logic and My lack of knowledge in regardance. But My question stands. How we can be so sure when we had a Terrorist attack from Sea. For example, a Pakistan based terrorist sneaks inside the mumbai fishing harbor (or wherever the fishermen anchor their boats) with some RPG's and heavy machine guns and then attack any of our frontline ship that is anchored over there. They may be able to damage any one of the ships over there. Even repairable damage. But still its a damage.

I am asking out of my ignorance, You may still rant,.

Indian Navy's Kolkata-Class Destroyer Hits The Waters [Image Of The Day] - AA Me, IN

Indian Navy's Kolkata-Class Destroyer Hits The Waters [Image Of The Day]
Possibly the 1st such picture of the newest first in class Warship of the Indian Navy [IN] performing sea trials.

The IN's latest Guided Missile Destroyer, with stealth characteristics, INS Koltkata, is seen below in the open waters. With reports of the impending induction of this warship into Service, it is quite likely to be a genuine photo.

Successor to the indigenous Delhi-class Destroyers, the Kolkata-class, with its more advanced weaponry & Engineering, demonstrates a significant leap upwards in domestic ship-building capabilities, despite the more than year-long delay in its induction.

We don't have any Barak-1 SAM left to fit in Kolkata Class. Barak-8 SAM is not ready yet. And we do not have any ASW helos to spare for it. Tussle between Black Shark and Sea Hake, and ensuing procurement delay, has also resulted in depleted torpedo stocks.

Among the weapon systems, only AK-630 CIWS, Brahmos, 130mm naval gun and RBU-6000 are ready.

May you please enlighten why you think it is toothless tiger? Any one liner is confusing and hence the request.

Looks more like Oto 76mm SRGM in a stealth cupola.
